If we aren't happy with ourself....whats the point we could never be happy with anyone else. Can't base our happiness on another person...that just will never work. I know people like this and they are some of the most unhappy people I have ever dealt with. Developing a positive outlook - and maintaining it - can take some work, but it is always well worth it! Me? I have my bootstraps wrapped 25 times around my hands and when I get broadsided, I just twist them tighter. Cant stand the thought of being knocked down ... I WILL get where I want to be! I WILL! I WILL! |

I haven't been happy with myself for a long time, but would consider myself in transition right now. I have been working really hard at changing things in my life that I am unhappy with and hope that by late fall, one of my major goals will be met. Trying to pick off the annoyances as I go.
No, my life didn't go the way I planned it when I got married, but oh well, it is 1000% better than what I had in my marriage. |

I am very happy with who i am. There isnt enough money or dares to make me ask...rate my profile and or checkout my photos. I know what they look like.
 As to why I am here on this site. Multiable reasons. I came to date. I stayed for friends and forums. Mostly I like to put my 2 cents in every once in a while. And yes there is a void I would like to fill. I can keep myself busy most of the time. But dang it, I can only take so much of my company for so long.  Personally there is nothing wrong wanting to fill a void in my life. I am just being more choosy with whom I care to hang with in my declining years.

i think alot of people suffer from some sort of depression and dont know it ..sometimes it takes a pill and some times it just takes a hand offered in friendship...go figure ...

Don't you wonder sometimes if we aren't all on the same journey...the same path with some of us further ahead and others lagging behind? Some of us may encounter different obstacles or storms a long our way - that may explain our differing needs. Why use the same measuring stick for all? Wouldn't it be better to be grateful that you are content just being you, while showing concern for those who are still on their way to that point?
Others have posted recently about self-esteem...a very fragile quality. The need for another to complete us is may be related to each person's own self-esteem. Glad to know yours is healthy & intact...still working on mine, but its getting better ...

Your self, where your life is at this point? The reason i asked this, is i been on here for almost two years and not one time have i ever posted that i know of, am i attractive, am i ugly, does anyone want me etc etc other then playing around on here to have some fun. Now mind you, i'm not upset or anything like that, but whats up with people not caring about themselves and learning how to be happy with out thinking that another humon being is going to change that  yes we all get lonely onec in a while, but isn't there more to life then to try and find that one to fill that void as some look at it. I kinow this is an on going topic, but what do you really get out of it? it don't make you feel good, it's not putting a smile on your face, people are less to talk to you and you end up going over and over the same stiuation and never geting anyware. So if your going throught this right now. What are you going to do about it, if anything at all? Some people need that constant validation, Mike by the way. Insecurity comes in lots of juicy flavors - this one, one of the hardest to recognize, and easiest to trip over (introspectively). It seems you have been witness to a miracle. Congratulations!! I agree, just if it was me and in the past it was. But i did somthing about it, not saying that it was easy, because we all do from time to time. Say why me, but i move on from the that same day. Thank you Yes i have been blessed. That is my son and thats all i need in my life right now. I use to think i needed a women and then id be happy. Hell i been more happy with out one

I'm 26, on the verge of being homeless, no money, no phone, can't get a job, hunt for cans for money to get some ramen noodles I can't cook, and have nothing else to do aside from sit in the school and do homework and sit on the internet. I am going to school to hopefully get out of part of this. Most of the time though I wish I would stop feeling so that I wouldn't have to deal with this while going through a divorce. Yeah I am in a bad place, it's only been 6 months since she left. and I gave all I had to her, just to be thrown away told to kill myself and replaced. Maybe I'll get over it. I don't think I will.

I am happy with some things and not happy with others...I would love to find a good man to spend time with but on the other hand a am blessed with a good family, stable job situation and a few really good close friends...
