5 pounds under or over is what I think of for average

10-20 pounds over weight or less would be "a few extra ponds"

and 20+ is obeise...or heavyset

my thoughts

Are you serious? There is no "fat" on here.laugh "a few extra pounds" is just a nice way of saying FAT!!!!!!!!!! so if you are a few extra pounds, put "average"

By the same token, I've seen profiles where they show "a few extra pounds" and they are in denial!! laugh laugh laugh I'm SO BAD!!!! That's really not like me to put it out there like this.

Yet, I don't know exactly where I fit in. I went to some website that tells me by height & weight if I am considered obese, and I am not obese, so I chose "a few extra pounds". Most of it's in the eye of the beholder anyway!! laugh laugh laugh

i dunno...i put average...but some might see me as slender...but to me slender is straight...i have curves...so, I say average. Some say average when they are a few extra pounds...so, I would say that average will get you anything from slender to fat LOL bigsmile

Actually BMI (body mass index) is the so -called appropriate indicator of a person being obese or not....a BMI of greater than 25 is considered overweight and anything 30 and above is obese..and being that BMI is calculated by height and weight..you would be suprised at how much ppl in this world is considered overweight in this country by this formula...flowerforyou

Whoa,I went to a BMI calculator and it rated 30. as "overweight" I am 6 ft tall and weigh 195. and I came out at 30. something and I was pissed off, for 20 years I was a 21-23.
Yes, but actually I am average because "a few extra lbs, is now the average"
