Well, let's say, for example, someone like Adolph Hitler writes a book in prison called Mein Kampf.

Let's also say he takes the ideas from that book of unbridled thoughts and tries to, say, take over a country with them, impose his will with an iron fist and order the genocide of millions.

Of course, but your intentions were to say that all thought is not legitimate to come to fruition and be able to be understood on a global stage of humankind. We must always take the good, bad, and all thoughts inbetween. No thought, however evil that it may be, should be restricted from being known by controlling forces that you are seeking to impose. The destiny of man is to be as good and as evil as they can be, with everything inbetween put somewhere onto that scale as well. To restrict it, the unbridled thought, is to restrict freedom.

And, believing that such thought can be resisted from being known, the idea to confront it pre its dispersal, is to lead to much greater restrictions of freedom by some unknown controlling being or group who is to say what is "good" and what is "bad".

These converstations are a perfect example of what american needs!! We have a great deal of difference in what we feel and how we CHOOSE to live our lives but yet there is no form of HATERED here. We can express our own beliefs without fear of persicution and we,as free thinking people, are open enough to listin to one another, thats unbridled freedom at its best

Korea, Burma, Chad, Sudan....Freedom? doesn't exist...if this thread appeared in anyone of these countries, nary a soul would dare to put forth their expression...maybe because they have no concept of freedom.Something we all take for granted....and everytime we defend this high cost "product" those that take it for granted bellow about how unjust it all is...I guess we should just lay down our freedom for marxism or socialism...which seems to be the current trend.
