THE PARK I WAS THINKING OF IS HALF WAY BETWEEN LAKELAND & TAMPA. IT'S ON HYW 39. SOUTH OF PLANT CITY.

Would that be Turkey Creek?

Hope there's bbq's at this park...or would we have to bring in our own grills?

THERE ARE THE PARK GRILLS, BUT THEY ARE SMALL, SO IF YOU HAVE A GRILL YOU MIGHT WANT TO BRING IT. I AM THINKING OF HAVING THIS DURING LABOR DAY WEEKEND, SINCE MOST PEOPLE ARE OFF THAT WEEKEND ANYWAY.
I'LL HAVE TO GET AHOLD OF THE PARK TO SEE IF I CAN GET A PAVILLION.

Alderman's Ford. 9625 Canoe Launch Road. Lithia, FL 33547

Alderman's Ford Preserve (PDF, 197KB)
Activities: Canoeing, Fishing, Hiking, Nature Study, Parking, Picnicking, Public Access
Location: 8911 Turkey Creek Rd Plant City 33567

Must be one of these, both referenced CR-39.

But I also found THIS:...never mind, it was re-opened three days later. You still might want to bring your own water and other drinks though.

Thanx for the info, Sir.

Seems like Labor Day Weekend would be good. Shall we take a vote?

Sounds good to me. Of course, I'd have to make sure WHICH of the two addresses is the right one. Not sure they describe the same place. Still need some confirmation on that.
