I know this is a very touchy topic and that alot of you don't believe in
the bible for thoughts of it being written by a man. What is the bible
to you? To me; it is what it is, a book of discussion with contraversies
on beliefs. The bible...Basic. Instructions. Before. Leaving. Earth. It
says in Matthew 24:3-51 that these are the signs. They are here now! but
for verse 27... "for as the lighting cometh out of the east, and shineth
even unto the west"... don't know about you but, I think it is those
(japan?) missles that they talked about a while back that was said could
reach our west coast. Do you agree? And have any of you heard of the
bible code?

(i think the missiles were launched by korea) and i have heard alot of
the stuff about the bible predicting the future using the code and all
kinds of stuff but i don't think we will ever see what they are talking
about in our lifetime. to me the bible is a way of life and a moral
guide and not much else. i do believe in GOD but alot of that stuff was
changed (in my opinion). i'm only 30, but for 30 years i've heard the
same things and everytime we have a couple of serious natural disasters
people bring it up again saying that this is what the bible is talking
about ,it's the end of the world. the world will be up and running with
no signs of the apocolypse in sight long after i am dead and gone

right, no one should worry about it. if it happens it just happens. Like
it says noone will know the day or time anyway. BUT, be glad, we'll
finally be able to go home and not have to just deal with all the shit
that does go on here! But, I watched this show once about this bible
code... where that whatever or however they done it, it had proven facts
that had already occured and is still occurring. something about word
for word about the towers before it had happened and bout clinton and
some other past events. but noone said anything because they themselves
wanted to be proven wrong or to see if it would happen anyway. AIN'T
THAT SOME SHIT?

i'm not denying that it may be true but i've had too many runins with
this type of stuff. someone should document it before habd because if
you go back after the fact it's not too hard to make something look like
that's what it meant, i just think they are reaching a little on alot of
the things that were said and what the code was supposed to have
predicted. kinda like with all of the predictions that nostradamus made.
if you read what he said they are pretty vague and they tend to get
twisted around all the time to make it work for a certain event. i've
witnessed stranger things though, it could be true

i know it's hard to believe anything these days and i don't blame u for
feeling like that; it's hard to get by without anything to really
believe in and much less dream for right?

it ain't so much the dreams but i have seen the same
person(professional)use the same instance twice and neither one was
right. it may be true but some people don't know how to read it and the
first glimpse of anything even close and they jump the gun and say aha
it all makes sense now but if they would have went a little further with
it they would have seen that it wasn't. i could say that at some time in
the future" the northern sky was going to rain fire and destroy all
those in it's path" and people would have 1500 instances where they
would try to say that it was the future

some people want to be,ieve in something so bad or they want to prove
what they believe to be true so bad that they will stretch things to do
it and people are just easy to influence when they let their emotions
get in the way, alot of people quit thinking when they get emotional and
they just react.

I LOVE chatting with u. U got a real good head on ur shoulders and is
open to all topics of disscussion. You even made me change thought on
many aspects because of the things u've said.

i'm glad it made you think because you made me think too and that is
what it's supposed to do. i don't try to change people's minds ,just
open up a different avenue. we can't take everything that we are told as
the truth because we would never have an original thought and it would
be way too easy to control people

right on KB, I see it the same way u can't make up another person mind
for em' and u most deffently can't make em' do what u want them to do
cuz they'll just rebel against ya then what good is that.

themselves but for some strange reason some people are 'nt capable of

I think a lot of the prob with the Bible is the fact that what we read
today is a tanslation, of a translation of a translation of a
translation ...you get the idea..My mom was a real stickler on the Bible
as far as taking every word of it literally.. Take the old testament
story of Jonah and the whale, my mom would get real uptight when ever it
was referred to that way..she says the Bible says "And God prepared a
Great Fish for Jonah"..the thing is, how do we know that in aramaic they
didn't refer to whales as great fish...As for revelations..who
knows..maybe the end is closer than we think..maybe not...for eg: are
there really more natural disasters occurring? or is just cuz we have
ppl living all over the planet and the ability to get news instantly
makes it SEEM like there is more?

there is a lot of revelation that helps u know what to expect if ur not
ready for Christ our Lord. just keep striving for answers and prating
the good Lord is awesome and he will answer our prayers in his own time
if he doesnt just thank God for unanswered prayers

yep, text for text, someone is always trying to prove something they
don't know. Like I'm sure u've heard that supposedly kane left and
married a relative hence he "knew" her. but earlier in genesis before
god made adam he already made men and told them to populate right. so,
when i read, kane "knew" his wife i translate it as this... they got
busy.lol. i also see it that unlike most people that think adam and eve
were the first they're full of shit. adam and eve were suppose to be the
first "perfect" people/farmers. those the "gods"(another topic) choose
to walk in their steps or be able to talk to.
