I behold the garden
across the way. I watch how it grows. The old man knows this is his life. His wife died many years ago, and his picture perfect planting keeps him standing tall. He gathers the soil beneath his feet, and spreads the seeds accordingly. He does everything with Love, and Love is what grows. He knows, and he knows it shows. His vegetables and flowers signify what he does to try to replicate the beauty of his wife's face. All of this in the space of a simple garden. He seeks no pardon. He serves his beloved well.
