Most men who are not gay do not want to have close contact with men that are gay.
Men that are gay do not want to have close contact with men who are not gay. With that said gay men should consider starting a team or league of their own and challenging the non gays. |

i dont think it should make a difference if you're gay or straight as long as its a sport you love
this is America after all or did i fall asleep and endup in a country that says you either straight or we kill you America is all about FREEDOM right |
redmond, wouldn't that be segregation?
That would depend on who you ask.
If I were gay and felt uncomfortable about being around a room full of non gays because of the obvious ridicule and prejudice I,d be okay with joining a all gay football baseball or basketball team and kicking some straight but. |

it just can't be that cut and dry...there are many who are gay and never tell a soul...and those that would be flat-out embarrassed to play on a "gay" team. not necessarily because they are embarrassed of their homosexuality, but to be on a team that is DEFINED by it...would be difficult.
cause then we should have, you know...the "anal team", the "oral team", the "missionary-i'm-so-boring" team... to segregate based off of a characteristic is just wrong. |

lulu there are all gay bowling teams and softball teams currently out there.
its only a matter of time before someone puts something like this together on the professional level. and as you said some men are embarassed about being gay...but the should,nt be regardless of what they do for a living. |
i didn't say they were embarrassed to BE gay...but to play on a team that is only defined as such.
it won't ever happen on the professional level... |
I may....they got womens pro basketball up and going.
do you really think there are enough people that can play at the professional level...to be profitable?
if they aren't good enough to draw in the crowds, it would never last. and face it...many will boycott, just because of the fact that it IS a gay team. |
Thats what most thought about the womens pro basketball. It barely makes a penny but its still here.
yes, but...take the amount of awesome players...and now SPLIT them, to have a "heterosexual" team and a "homosexual" one.
now...do you have enough to still play? and what do you do if a "straight" person wants to play on the "gay" team? or vice versa? |
Exactly...thats my point!
A talented player is a talented player regardless of their sexual preference. The straight guy wants to play with the gays or vice versa is great. Its just a matter of ones comfort level. |
*chuckles*
no, don't you dare turn that around...that has been MY point all along! |
haha then we agree.
What?
What do you mean what?
Well I,m sure there are some still around.
But after the Kordell Steward bust they are likely extremely hard to find. But if they got the skills to do it they should. |

If you can play the best who cares if you are gay. I respect peopels right to freedom of speech and expression. Just don't let your expession cross my boundaries. Horsing around in teh locker room is okay but being serious about coming on to me that is not okay. You wnat to hug in the shower after a win well okay but don't try to molest me. Gays can be gay and around straight players. It only becomes a problem when players make it an issue for a dumb reason. A good reason to make it a problem is when a teammate sexually assults you or when hate crimes start by attacking the gay player. People should just be mature about this thing or mohill. Yes I am calling this issue a mohill which alot of people are starting to make into a mountain.
