Works both ways, a man can inspire a woman to be better as well. Don't like the word "failings" would rather see mistakes as failing insinuates no ability to correct the error. Of course I have too much logic when I think about things, which is why I don't think often. |

I would have to disagree to a point, I do think that a partner being there to support you thru the shortcomings and all is appreciated, but not because of them. I have a fullfilled life now, and im determined to keep it thru out my relationship with my partner. To bring out the best in each that we didnt know capable, but not only when times are bad
But then I have not been in a relationship yet, so what do I know |

I think I behaved by not dating, not having a relationship, staying focused on my kids, my family, my values, my visions. But, I have seen what this gentleman is talking about. So, I'm thinking I am the one who would be someone's "better half".

It surprises me to see this written by a man, when so many men protest women trying to change their man and preach unconditional love. It just kinda tickled me. |

I agree to some extent...
There have been a few great women in my life that have made me want to be a better man. Truth is though, at the time I just wasn't ready to grow up. Although I knew I was capable of being a better man, doing it for them wasn't enough, because I didn't truly want it for myself at the time. It was only in hind sight that I realized what they might have added to my life. With that being known, it does inspire me to be the better man that I always knew that I am capable of being and want to be at this point in my life. Although, there were a few broken hearts and a lot of tears shed, I also believe that it was somewhat necessary to get me to this point in my life. I do try to practice this in my life on a daily basis, however I am human and it doesn't always come out the way I intended. Also, being human and making mistakes, is no cruth to lean on when it comes to being a better person! Good Morning No1! |

Old saying:
"Behind every great man, is a equal or greater woman." Heard this alot in the 50/60's. I believe it, but also think it works both ways. With the right inspiration & support, both sex's can help their mate achieve more. 2 can always accomplish more than 1. |
