There are certainly a LOT of Christians on this site.
Since SO many of them DO NOT want to be considered under one label called Christians, I would like to ask. What are the differences between Christians. Like, for example, what of the differences in beliefs. We can hardly be expected to know, if we are NOT Christians. So please let us know and from this point on, we can refer to THOSE CHRISTIANS WHO BELIEVE..... And that way you won't all be lumped under one label. Thank-you for your assistance, it may make us all feel better to know these differences. |

Hi Kurtguy,
Wiki - so you want me to attempt to define what individuals here at JSH beleive by reading in Wiki????? You all can't agree on the one and only single source of your religion and you want me to look it up in Wiki. That was funny! Thanks Any one else want to be serious about this. If not I we can't help you. If you say you are Christian you will be called a Christian, even under the worst of label. But I know from personal experience that is not the way I want to be grouped either. So go ahead, at least I'm listening. Fill me in. |

a little leaven leavens the whole lump.
unleavened bread is like humility. 1 Corinthians 5:6-8. 1Cor5:8. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with the old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness ; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. God was displeased with David when he took a census of the people, how much more those that know not what they are censusing? 1Chronicles 21:17. And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed ; but as for these sheep, qat have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house ; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued. and that because it said this, first. 1Chronicles 21:1. And Satan stood up against Isra-el, and provoked David to number Isra-el. to which David's counsellor, Joab, said this to him. 1 Chron. 21:3. And Joab answered, The LORD make his people a hundred times so many more as they be : but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then does my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Isra-el? It is a good read, the whole chapter... |

Ok - if I'm not mistaken we might have a difference here.
We have at least one Christian who likes to answer rhetoric with Bible verses. Are there any Christians out there who would NEVER do this? This might be one of those differences ... We could say "and all those Christians who like to Quote Bible verses as answers...." So any one agree? Any one else what to explain why they are a 'different' kind of Christian? |

Hi Wouldee, hi anoasis Thanks for visiting. For all the complaints I thought sure there would be those who would like to explain and be disconnected from a single label.

Good luck with this thread....
Christians. They're all the same.... Just kidding! Don't get excited. There are seven churches in my tiny town. Here is my rather bent perception of the flavor of these groups. Its just for fun. Methodists Church... That's the one I call Misc. They are the people who go to Church to meet other folks, and don't want to be labeled "pagan." The Catholic Church: Mostly Italians and Mexicans attend this church. They are the best cooks in town. They have great bazaars and dinners as fund raisers. The Friends Church: A little Church by the Park. Everybody hugs everybody, even strangers. That's all I know about that one. The Southern Baptists Church: These people sent me a letter asking that I take their Church page off of my web site because they did not want to be "associated" with a web site owned by a tarot card reader, whom they think is a witch. Loved those guys. They call themselves "Godly men." The Other Baptist Church: Very off the radar. I don't know much about them. The Trinity Church: These people dance around in the isles and speak in tongues. Very scary. The pastor is grumpy, requested to be taken off of my web site along with the Southern Baptists Church. I went to a wedding he officiated and spoke to him, and he ignored me. Would not so much as say hello. They don't believe in wearing lots of flashy jewelry. The Assembly of God Church: Not a bad place. It is a smaller misc. Church on the other side of town. The Seventh Day Adventists Church: A very well organized corporation. They have a new young pastor. They have been quite nice and friendly to me. Mostly little old ladies go there. They wash each others feet sometimes and do communions with wine and crackers. They seem to encourage eating no meat. Oh I forgot, there is also a group of Christian Cowboys that get together too, but I think they are associated with the Southern Baptists. One of those guys is an artist and wrote to me asking that I remove anything about him from my website. This is the extent of my knowledge about the Churches in my town. |

Redykeulous I, truly, think you are bored. You are always here to debate. I don't feel I should have to defend my beliefs to you. I am probably just as bored as you to be writing this. well, actually I am just waiting for the charcoal to get hot. I am grilling chicken, ribs and fish. Yummy

Yummy why does a question require a defense? a question begs an answer not a "defense". why do the christian who post here all seem to find questions to be attacks? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ummm.... grilled chicken sounds yummy. |

Most Christians will not post in this thread until:
1. The question is presented in a way that appears to be genuine and not a hand grenade with a taught finger on the pin waiting anxiously for a hapless victim to enter the trap. 2. The non-Christians make their debut, which they will, and spin their regular dose of negativity, picking and picking until someone answers...... then see Number 1 above concerning the hand grenade. |

Well I hope you did learn your lesson young man!! Nope. Ignorance, self centered attitudes, and arrogance from others as well as out and out anger would not allow others to think that someone could be genuinely interested. All of that coupled with a total lack of humor and no, nobody learned anything from each other but isn't that the point here? The mission is to vilify denigrate and scorn those with opposing viewpoints isn't it? It appears so. |
