My point the whole time here is not to run down any religion. In the world of humans, men have sex. So if Jesus has sex regardless to whom it be with, it does not change the message of Jesus. I do not remember Jesus having said men on men love is a sin. But I know it is elsewhere in the bible. But that still does not change the man's message in the bible, regardless.

Read corinthians cute. Its pretty clear what is meant. The only thing that could possibly be supportive to homosexual behavior is that it says it is not for us to judge who will go to heaven, but it is quite clear that that behavior is against gods will!!!

I have discussed it here today, but never in the thread where this argument has been continued from, and I have quite clearly admitted to struggling with my own hell!

Am I wrong???

I respect you dragoness and find it hard to believe that you would invade upon another's world such as this and partake in the blasphemy of their beliefs!

Fanta, I do also apologize for this if it was taken that way. I did not mean it to be offensive. I am always being matter of factly and I try to portray it that way. Homosexuality as a sin even if it is truly a sin in god's eyes, we as humans cannot judge nor persecute those who partake of that lifestyle, it is their cross to bear so to speak. But I will say it again, even if Jesus partook of this form of love, as long as it was not a child, which would be horrendous, it does not change his message.

For a start, the original texts were written in Greek.
The bits, Im assuming you are referring to are the effeminate and the abusers of themselves?

effeminate. In the English language, this covers a wide range of male behavior such as being unmanly, lacking virility, right?

"Abusers of themselves ... " Although "homosexual" is a very common translation, it is inaccurate

If Paul wanted to refer to homosexual behavior, he would have used the word "paiderasste." That was the standard Greek term at the time for sexual behavior between males. (English word Pedarast)

The second term is "arsenokoitai" in Greek.

The exact meaning of this word is lost. It seems to have been a term created by Paul for this verse.
"Arsen" means "man" in Greek. So there is no way that "arsenokoitai" could refer to both male and female homosexuals.

It seems that the translators gave in to the temptation to widen Paul's condemnation to include lesbians as well as gay males.

So that list at the top does not include being gay. Or if it does, then it only refers to men.

But that doesnt include Jesus.

If it does preclude you from entering Heaven, then there is still a mountain of debatable stuff from the Bible that Jesus could have nbeen gay

That version is from the King James bible. others use the word homosexual directly, but I was babtized Catholic and wanted to use our bible!

Yes, it does change his message. First of all, it would mean that Jesus broke one of the Old Testament laws. For Jesus to be a valid sacrifice, he had to be without spot (sin). Second, Jesus is to be our template for behavior. If Jesus molested this boy, then pediphilia would be someone Christians should practice.
