I've said it before, I'll say it again. It would be a terrible trend for this country to be handed over to just two families for over twenty years. It was bad enough that we had two Bushes, we don't need dual Clintons.

I guess it just goes to show that what they say about us Kansans voting is true of all over the country. We just vote for the name we recognize, and not the best person. If we voted for the person that would probably do the best job, we'd have Joe Biden, Gov. Richardson, or well, anyone else running.

Well, I'd of started by actually holding off on a military response to an act of terroristic threat. Probably would have sent those troops to ground zero (in both NY and DC) to help find survivors and with clean up. I wouldn't have kept reading with grade school kids while my country was under attack. I sure wouldn't have infringed on the rights of the American people. Vigilance is the price of freedom, and the costs are high. But I would have at least done the one thing the terrorists truly hate, keep America(ns) free.

No, actually it isn't. George Washington did it in 1793 (whiskey rebellion), Rutheford B. Hayes did it in 1878 (railroad workers strike), and those were armed troops. Let's not forget what Lincoln did during the civil war. All of those actions were held up as constitutional in the supreme court. It is not illegal to send unarmed troops on missions of mercy within the borders. The national guard is called out every time there is a national disaster.
