Topic: Should You Believe? | |
---|---|
This is my condensed form of the Old Testament and the New, telling some of God's miracles and how He worked through people He chose. Should You Believe? In the beginning, God created the heaven and earth, The miracles He's bestowed Which He gave His worth. Should you believe In the greatness of creation? Yes, you should For it's written in summation. The Bible says it's so It is the word God gave, In which for us to live And for us to be saved. Now listen close here I will tell you these things, Of the miracles He's shown And the love He brings. Remember the days of Noah When he was told to build an ark? The words came from God In which Noah did hark. God said it would rain In 40 days and 40 nights, He will flood the lands Non believers will take plight. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah The city full of sin? When God destroyed it And told Lot, not to look again. What about Moses When, with his people, he did flee, Where were they to go But for God, to part the Red Sea. Or when Moses heard From a bush of Gods voice, With its flame, but not consuming In awe, he did rejoice. Or when Moses went to the Pharoah He presented his staff, To show to the Pharoah How it turned to an asp. When he held two stones And God made the commandments of ten, The rules for mankind to follow In which we tend to hasten. Or what about Joshua When he walked seven times forlorn, Around the walls of Jericho As he triumphantly blew his horn. Or when God gave Samson His strength to destroy Gaza, When he was deceived by love By a woman named Delilah. Should you believe A little boy that killed a giant? David had the faith Unto God he was pliant. Did you believe in Daniel When he was placed in the den, Facing the danger of lions With his faith, he did win. Or what about the story About Jonah, swallowed by a whale, With Jonah's faith and belief God saved him from the gale. Then the greatest story ever told Was the birth of His Son, Through all of His preachings He was the chosen one. Yes, He died for our sins His life in which He gave, In order for us to live A life in which to be saved. He promised He would return The rising of the third day, The guard fell asleep When the stone rolled away. He came with arms outstretched Wearing a robe of white, Where He promised he would be The everlasting life. |
