It's difficult to look on the positive when I have to drive my child 16 miles round trip to school and pick them up in the afternoon.

My Teens take public transportation! Takes them 2 hours to get there 2 to get home... ya ok that was obvious.. well sometimes it's a lil longer.. depending on bus delays.

They catch the bus--to the lightrail station--take lightrail downtown transfer to another lightrail -- then have to get off at another stop to board a bus to end up in front of the school. They get up at 5am.. leave before 6am.. get home between 6:30-7 every night... k..

Public transportation/car pooling.. etc, jeez!

I don't have a teen. Mine is in elementary school. Jeez! And for some unknown reason, the sports activities are 45 minutes one way.

I feel sorry for your kids. That's a long day for them.
It doesn't leave much time for dinner and studying and time with the family. Jeez!

I will not tell u what u know... Processed food is wasting ur money.. Buy food that is healthy and has more nutritional value then a freakn frozen burrito.. k laugh

Food is NOT expensive! Jeez what world are u living in.. Grow some vegetables.. network w/ur neighbors that have fruit trees...

Is this not all common sense living?

 flowerforyou

Yes, food IS costing more. Jeez what world are you living in? A gallon of milk is almost $4.00 now. Close to $3.00 for a dozen eggs. It is adding up when you include the major increase of utilities too.

No fruit trees in my area.

in this case I don't think there is a positive. I had to order #5's for my signs today

I don't know what you mean by #5's.
Because I may need to charge $5.00. I don't have 5's on my signs. Hang in there.flowerforyou

Whew! You're in CA. It's sneaking up to $4.00 here. Not yet, though.

Its sneaking up very high here. I feel sorry for the people on fixed incomes. I has a lot of retired customers.

My mom is retiring next month at 70 yrs. old and my father is already retired. But..that means she will be driving less with not going to work everyday.

Maybe if the gas prices keep rising, we won't be the most overweight country anymore. Just a thought. laugh

I'm sure bicycle sales will go up, too. Of course there's gonna be a whole new mass transit system going right through the US to Canada and Mexico, isn't there?

its funny.. I've seen people walk by my house with shopping carts... The store doesnt really mind as long as they take them back. One good thing to come out of the gas prices is people are going to walk more.. Gotta look for the positive right?
laugh maybe they used to have a car thats why they are now homeless and walk

It's one strategy for overpowering the 5693 "nice guy" threads that have yet to be posted this week....

Distraction is a beautiful thing....
