OK, here's the deal....I have a wedding to attend the end of July. I went out yesterday and bought a very nice dress to where to this wedding.....I don't wear dresses that often but I figured what the heck it's my neices wedding and I really wanted to pamper myself for the occassion.

Anyway, the dress has a floral type print of red and black with an empire type waist band. Deep v-neck and flowing skirt at the bottom.

My question is should I get red shoes and maybe a matching red bag to go with it or black????? I'm thinking red to kind of off set the red in the dress.

Ladies, you'd be a better judge of this....I'm more of a jeans and T type girl and have to wear a uniform day in and day out for my job...so this is like and adventure for melaugh laugh laugh

I would choose the color that is less pronounced on the dress, and a strappy sandal vs shoe. I dont match my shoes to my purse (I'd use a clutch).

Hi and congrats on the wedding you are attending. To set off the outfit that you have bought You should buy Black shoes with a heel less than 2 inches and possibly peep toed rather than overly strappy. I would sugguest red nail polish on your fingers and toes that dresses up the lesser shade of red in the dress and if you feel flair lipstick to match with a black purse , if not, match your purse to your nail polish.

Do not match your shoes nail polish and purse and lipstick, that's too much. You want to play up the becoming, yet subtle shade of red.

As a guest, it is uncouth to outshine or detract from the bride. Go with the black...... flowerforyou

Good morning! I work for Dillards, in the dress dept. Wear black shoe's and use a black evening bag. Red is a loud colour and how often would you use them again. Purchase those that you Will use more than once. There's no point in wasting money for just one occasion. If you would like to incorporate more red, go with Jewelry.

I used to work at Dillards for a pt extra job. Small world.

I have red patent snakeskin opentoed stilettos (Jessica Simpson's) I bought at Dillards last season .. wear them ALLL the time and get tons of complements on them..

LOVE Dillards shoe dept. My closet attests to that fact. laugh
