Is there more black then red? Is there more red then black? I would take the lesser of the colour and go with shoes that match that.

OK, here's the deal....I have a wedding to attend the end of July. I went out yesterday and bought a very nice dress to where to this wedding.....I don't wear dresses that often but I figured what the heck it's my neices wedding and I really wanted to pamper myself for the occassion.

Anyway, the dress has a floral type print of red and black with an empire type waist band. Deep v-neck and flowing skirt at the bottom.

My question is should I get red shoes and maybe a matching red bag to go with it or black????? I'm thinking red to kind of off set the red in the dress.

Ladies, you'd be a better judge of this....I'm more of a jeans and T type girl and have to wear a uniform day in and day out for my job...so this is like and adventure for melaugh laugh laugh
Good morning! I work for Dillards, in the dress dept. Wear black shoe's and use a black evening bag. Red is a loud colour and how often would you use them again. Purchase those that you Will use more than once. There's no point in wasting money for just one occasion. If you would like to incorporate more red, go with Jewelry.

I used to work at Dillards for a pt extra job. Small world.

I have red patent snakeskin opentoed stilettos (Jessica Simpson's) I bought at Dillards last season .. wear them ALLL the time and get tons of complements on them..

LOVE Dillards shoe dept. My closet attests to that fact. laugh

I agree with not outshining the bride, but honestly most women, even model-types .. can NOT outshine a bride at her wedding.

There are no ugly brides like no ugly babies and they will "have the floor" no matter who walks in wearing whatever.

It's their day and they shine like the brightest star love

OMG!!! The bridal shower was last Sunday and you should have seen some of the outfits others were wearing for that...some of the woman there were dressed to kill and it was just the shower, I can't imagine what they'll be wearing to the weddinglaugh laugh

The wedding actually takes place at 1:00 in the afternoon, so is that considered semi-formal, casual....geez....I have been so out of the fashion loop, for so long it's ridiculous.laugh flowerforyou laugh

I'd consider an afternoon wedding semi-formal.
Outdoor or indoor wedding?

I'd still wear the color less prominent on the dress, if the dress have more red (black sandals) if it has more black (red sandals) I find strappy sandals are sexy and they dont have to be extremely high nor gladiator looking

Have fun, you will look amazing.flowerforyou
