something that many may not realize

both jillery and ob sama 's health care plan is a mandate

well auto insurance in most states is also a mandate

(not provided forced to buy)

just something to think about

I've already decided....

I wont lift a finger for anyone on election day because none of them have done any good to warrant me getting off my computer and casting a vote for them (that won't matter anyway!)

well you should go and write in something as a protest

or your not voting appears as content with the status quo

Insurance is not the solution , but part of the problem. Insurance is all about insurance companies making a profit. That is the ONLY concern. They don't give a damn about the care people get.

Nono, i disagree! People who vote should lose their right to complain when their candidate screws everything up

You have four choices. One of them is to not vote.

That is your right.

But, I do agree that if you dont get the desired effect when the idiot that everyone else votes in, doesnt do stuff you like, you really cant complain.

It has to be the most undesired desirable job in the world. You have no idea what you are doing and everyone knows it, but they still ask you your opinion.

Thats not just being The Prez, it goes for the majority of country's leaders!

Wouldnt want it if you gave it to me.

It isnt a duty, its a liability

Voting Democrat or Republican at this point is almost tantamount to treason, I don't see why you all still argue about it like it matters.

There is still hope before Nov comes!
Maybe the Independents will switch to the Republican side by then.

Lets hope so. Ive always said the independents will determine the President. They always do!drinker drinker

Fanta,

I don't think a majority of Independents will switch to the Dark Side (Republican).

I think it's much more likely they will vote for Obama.

In NC its hard to tell.
The Independents are the only voting block allowed to vote in either parties primary.
The pubes can only vote in the pubic primary, and the Dems can only vote in the Demo primary.

I saw on UNCTV (PBS) yesterday that almost all were voting Democrat, but that most were voting for Hillary because of your friend Rev Wright. NC has a very large military presence and other than the black Democrats are not very likely to vote for anyone connected to Wright and his anti-American statements!

Two weeks ago Obama had a 9 pt lead of Hillary, but that has disappeared, and Hillary is now in the lead.
Tuesday will tell though!drinker

We also have a one-stop voting program where people can cast their vote early at their own leisure. Many have already voted and I believe this is where they were getting their numbers.

Fanta,

I wasn't referring to NC specifically, but after the Democrats decide on their nominee, which I think will be Obama because he has more of the superdelegates and is likely to pick up more.

If Obama is the nominee, then I think a lot of Independents will vote for him, because McCain is too closely tied to Bush Jr. and the same people who supported Bush Jr. support John McCain.

It's the 'tar-baby' affect that I believe will cost McCain the Presidency.

yes not voting is an option

(but not as protest)

not voting is taken as content with the status as it stands

here is an option to use as protest as there are other issues that you NEED to vote on anyway
