but, the actual bed
itself

Lately I have begun to feel the same way

I mean,
I know it’s old but,
it is still comfortable
though
I find no comfort in it

With its
duel personalities

Warm yet,
the coldest place in my house
and how is it
that even now
no matter how many times I wash the sheets
or
change the
pillow cases
it finds a way
to release a hint of that
Prada perfume you liked so much

God I hate the fact
that smell is so
linked to
our memories

Well I won’t cut off my nose
just to get a
good nights sleep
maybe I should look into
getting a
futon

when my husband died, I lost everything. What was left is in storage. I do not have a bed that has my scent, memory is in the grave, I do smell the dirt, everytime the wind picks up. I enjoy the facets and layers you expose about you, vulnerabilty to watch these sheets flapping in our wind.

Shshshs lucky dog at least you have had some one in your bed lately you can still smell there scent shshshs been so long in mine the only scent I smell is freebreeze that comes in the Tide. Good write
