If I had a nickle for everytime I was harrassed about my chosen religion I'd never work a day in my life again. Here, i'm Pagan....go to town on that... but leave the innocent joke alone already... The topic was fictitious characters... If someone doens't belive in Jesus, he then is fictitious to them. Your chosen religion only means something to you...mine only to me.... and rightfully so, religion isn't for the masses, it is for the individual. panties in a twist...???

and also ...by the way ...for those who do not know...
My own children are in their early 30's...
my oldest is 34 and my twins will be 32, tomorrow
my own kids have reverence & respect for God and for me.... they would NEVER say disrespectful things to me... so.... i certainly am not going to allow someone Else to treat me or my God with disrespect....
they should be respectful.... and laugh about things much less controversial |

Vanessa, I never once told you your religioni was wrong.
I never once told ANYONE their religion was wrong. What I said was...it was a joke...HIS OPINION. You spout that everyone has an opinion, and you want yours respected. THEN RESPECT OTHERS ALSO. Personally I do not disagree with the fact that Jesus, was real, I just don't believe some of the stories about him. My brother is studying to be a Catholic preist, I think what he is doing is wonderful, he is devoting himself to that which he loves. I have studied theology for YEARS, I am clergy for my faith....don't believe me, email me and I'll give you my real name and you can check it out on the Secretary of State's web site for Ohio. I understand your devotion to your faith, and do not belittle you for it in the slightest.... My only complaint was that you belittle others for their beliefs. Would your God be happy with that....Mine wouldn't... It's not how you worship, just that you do. With that said...this discussion belongs in the religion section...and not in the thread entitled "Which fictitious character...." That was really my only beef with you. |
