Im in the same boat. My sweetie lives 130 miles away and it's tough to see him as often as I would like to. |

There are very few decent paying jobs where I live. When you drive 25 mi. to the next county to find a somewhat decent paying job, then #3.50 - $4.00/gal. is an issue. My son is driving almost 50 mi. one way to work -- about a third of his pay goes for gas just to get back and forth to work. Been there, done that....used to put $60.00 twice a week in my car to get back and forth to work and I travelled 50 miles each way to get there and back. Thank goodness I now live 5 miles from where I work but the gas prices going up have forced me to only put in $25.00 every two weeks (and that doesn't even fill it up) It's ridiculous!!!!!! The Arab countries are paying less and a $1.00 (USD) for a gallon of gas.....why is it we're screwed with $3.50 plus?????? |

You know how great full we would be if we had your gas prices. I do not understand why we pay more then the states.

Mine's still $3.77 a gallon for regular unleaded. I'd like to see what you guys say when yours costs that much. |

E10 Ethanol is a strawman of the patroleum industry, extremely low octane kills engine life and economy...look for E85 Ethanol. Less high-explosive, easier on the engine. You can Google it and find where your local stations are. Also, I live within bicycle range of a Sunoco refinery and it's just under $3.40, last time this year, a riot was threatened and the local price dropped dramatically.

In my opinion, I think big rig drivers that have to pay for their own fuel are about the only people who have the TRUE right to b!tch about gas prices. All the rest of us are truly dealing with piddly amounts. Imagine if our cars ran on bottled water... that stuff's WAY more expensive than gas, along with tons of other liquids!
