Of course there are conditions! The way they act for one! I will not be with a theif, liar, drug addicts....these are all conditions. No cheaters, abusers, sexual predators.......conditions! What if the person you loved "unconditionally" turned up to be a freakin' psychopathic killer? Then what happens to your unconditional love??

I am w/ Jim on this. I love my girls unconditionally that's it!

You are entitled to your opinion, Mountain....but when you truly love someone and get that magical love back you won't be able to disagree....If they are explosive...drug addicts, liars, abusive...you would know something ahead of time....

So ..what you are saying is that you would love your children unconditionally if they sliced up your neighbor but not your partner....Sorry I can't buy that...

I pray this world becomes a better place and that we look at what we have with more pleasure than what we could have....

Chow people....gotta go and have fun.....laugh

Yes, I would totally love my child more than my partner. I didnt raise my partner. As I would be confused and hurt that my child may do something like that, I still love my child no matter what...

As far as my partner? Well, they are on their own in their life, I have no control over that or their decisions. Nor did I have any influence on a decision of that nature.

I find it very hard to believe a relationship with a partner wont have any conditions whatsoever. Maybe I would think they drink too much, go out too much, dont work hard enough, dont have a good enough job or bring in enough money, dont pick up good enough around the house, it could be a huge list of anything. Sorry, if I feel that someone may not contribute to a relationship as much as myself? Well...Thats a condition and that is reality

I am sorry that people put conditions in the middle....

I had my soulmate and he is gone....If everyone just thought about the other partner....you would need no conditions...

Yes Im one of the lucky few and I know I will have that again....Its what you want...

Its a given that you love your children unconditional...but the topic is partners...smokin smokin smokin

Actually topic was a question and public, I voiced mine

Sorry to hear of your loss..I truly hope you can find that again one day

Question was unconditional love for your partner...

Thank you for your condolences... Im unfortunately sensitive about this subject...when you have had it...you can't breathe without it...Take careflowerforyou

And that is what I meant about public

I am very passionate about things as well. I can truly say I loved, and whole heartedly..I feel I had the best love anyone can imagine...Although..there were conditions

I feel more for my children than I do for a partner. I mean I carried each child 9 months and gave birth to each one. I can have unconditional love for them more so than a man. No matter what they do wrong or have done wrong. I pretty much agree with you on what you have posted. flowerforyou

huh Ummm....my kids won't be slicing up any neighbors...noway laugh laugh laugh

How do you know that?....same as i know about my late partner and my children....

And Jim,,,,back to its all about what you expect...No one would be good enough in your eyes....If you look past the imperfections...the eyes see with the heart not the mind...

Ask yourself...why are they drinking? Why do I want them to earn more money? Why don't they work harder? Why are they untidy....You talk to your partner because there is obviously lack of communications....How did this relationship spiral out of control?...What can I (you) do to make it better???

Would you continue to talk to someone on the phone almost everyday...even if you thought you might never meet them?

I do.

Darn it...where is your question...girlfriendflowerforyou

My question?

He serves a purpose in my life.

He fills the void that only he can. We have been romantic over the phone only for 3 years. When we actually met, it was awkward (my plane had a layover in Georgia on my way home from Israel, he met me there)

We still talk as we used to. We just didn't click in "real life".flowerforyou

I can have unconditional love for them more so than a man.

I know a few men who would give their lives for their children and have to watch dead beat mothers who got custody cause it's a "mommy state" neglect their children.

They cry at night wanting to be with their kids, but some states give the kids automatically to the mom, even if the mom is NOT the right choice.

I have a friend right now that still hurts from losing his kids in a divorce and another who deals with the mother making serious threats to the children (Like one day when I took the kids and the dad out to lunch with my baby and the mom took a butcher knife to her own son's throat and forced him to tell her where we all were.)

Tell me know, if a woman can do that to her own son, does she love him unconditionally?

Especially when the dad is busting his ass to support and raise those kids (one whom isn't even his?)

That is sad. sad She might not love her child unconditinally, but I do love mine unconditionally. I agree. There are some dead beat mothers out there, but it goes both ways. Men and women can be dead beaters as parents. People have conditional or unconditional love for their children or partners. I just happen to be the one that has unconditional love for my children, but conditional love for a man. flowerforyou
