Not all parents love their child unconditionally just like all couples do not love each other unconditionally all the time. But oh What a much better life it would be if we could love and be loved like that.....Love should be forever! Otherwise what good is part time love and where do we draw the line?

I am sorry that people put conditions in the middle.... I had my soulmate and he is gone....If everyone just thought about the other partner....you would need no conditions... Yes Im one of the lucky few and I know I will have that again....Its what you want... Its a given that you love your children unconditional...but the topic is partners... I'm sorry you lost your soulmate.

Of course there are conditions! The way they act for one! I will not be with a theif, liar, drug addicts....these are all conditions. No cheaters, abusers, sexual predators.......conditions! What if the person you loved "unconditionally" turned up to be a freakin' psychopathic killer? Then what happens to your unconditional love?? I am w/ Jim on this. I love my girls unconditionally that's it! Agreed

Of course there are conditions! The way they act for one! I will not be with a theif, liar, drug addicts....these are all conditions. No cheaters, abusers, sexual predators.......conditions! Unconditional ALWAYS has conditions.. How can you love someone unconditionally if they cheat on your or beat you? Or use the rent money for gambling? I've not experienced most of this but it just comes to mind that there are certain conditions to love and with the above being said "unconditional" only exists if those bad things do not... Very well said. I would like to add one thing though. There is the unconditional love that one has for their child. Absolutely... For me children go without saying.. It's the unsaid RULE...

You are entitled to your opinion, Mountain....but when you truly love someone and get that magical love back you won't be able to disagree....If they are explosive...drug addicts, liars, abusive...you would know something ahead of time.... So ..what you are saying is that you would love your children unconditionally if they sliced up your neighbor but not your partner....Sorry I can't buy that... I pray this world becomes a better place and that we look at what we have with more pleasure than what we could have.... Chow people....gotta go and have fun.....
