Helen Keller: When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us. ************************************ I have found this to be so true. Happiness is certainly a choice we make daily, and noone can steal our joy unless we let them. I've been going through some real rough times, but my focus has been on what I can do to try to make things better for me and my kids. I certainly agree with Helen Keller's quote. Have a HAPPY day!

1956....... Yes Helen Keller was blind. However she was intelligent and had a fantastic teacher who helped her.

staying positive is a very hard thing to do, living in this world today but it is the only way we are going to survive! keep thinking positive.

Helen Keller was both blind and deaf as the result of Scarlet Fever, a type of strep infection. I know because I had it as a kid. It went undiagnosed as it is uncommon these days,(1965)because of antibiotics. I do have hearing loss, but it is minor. Another version of this is: When Life slams one door shut, a window busts open.

We must never forget to always look for the good in every bad. When life gets you down just look around at what you have and remember there are many that have much less.
