Personally I think alot of people like to call people players becasue they didn't get from the person what THEY wanted. Unless the conversation occurs..."We are in a serious committed relationship" then you are dating...nothing more nothing less.

If a man approaches a woman with a pickup technique or even a common pickup line and she plays along.. (perhaps she is amused) that probably means that she wants to be approached.

Women are not as afraid of men as men are of women.

They get approached a lot, so they are used to it.

A player has just discovered a better approach. Most approaches are lame. A woman will be more responsive to a better approach. She hears lame approaches all the time.

A man who buys a woman a drink in a bar who does not even know the woman is trying to pick her up. She knows it. If he just sends the drink to her, without asking if she wants it, he is not being polite, he is making a proposition most of the time.

Not always. There are exceptions. If he is a guy that buys drinks for everyone all the time that is an exception. If he picks out a single woman and sends her a drink that is a proposition.

These are all lame pickup techniques that have been going on for decades.

A player today, has learned new approaches. If an approach is good, the woman will never suspect she is being played.

Players use whatever they can to get what they want from women. Whether it be sex, money or whatever. Their main method of playing is words, if a woman is suseptible to his sweet words by low self esteem then she will be an easy target.

Lady players do exactly the same thing, words are the main weapon and after that whatever else she has to use to get what she wants.

A master player does not do anything for his or her victims except talk, that is the gage to who is better at playing. To give their victim sex or money is a show of weakness in the game.

Serious players take this stuff very seriously. They actually keep a code of ethics to the game. I know that sounds funny but they do. And yes I have violated the player code by telling this but these are the basic facts.

I know this from players sharing with me. The more is known about the game publically the less effective the game is.

Truth and self esteem are the greatest enemies of the game for those who want to beat it.

I hope the game will eventually evolve into people just learning better social skills ~~and away from the con-artist type of game.

But there will always be those who lie and deceive. You can call them on that in many ways.

Listen to your instincts, watch body language. Good players practice and learn body language, so they may fool the less observant.

Demand honesty and respect. If you suspect a person is full of bull.. take what they say with a grain of salt, or check it out before getting involved.

The real "player" uses a combination of body language and clever words, phrases, and actions.

I think we are coming up on the issue of how a "player" is defined. Is it someone who uses psychology to get you to feel a certain way? Or is it the intentions behind this psychology? Truth-be-known, i'm willing to bet 95% of and, and women alike,are just trying to find that "special someone". At least this is true for all my friends. Even the ones who don't get attached, and just get laid every once in a while.
