so many think they have to tell others how to post or not to post

i can understand a quick yer not supposed to do that with the rule posted and leaving it go at that (to help keep them from negative action)[this is to help not criticize]

but is it not up to the moderators to go any further after all that is why there is a report button

after all is it not a personal attack if you post about how someone posts something it is not on topic and is aimed at the poster

why does it have to be argued??? can't it just be the rules of the site and leave it at that????? this is a free site and anyone that can't follow the rules can chose not to post or leave..plain and simple. the rules aren't going after one side but applies to all. if i go to someones house...i will follow their rules or not go. i don't search if their rules are legal or not

my point is Mike posted a thread about it..and people still want to argue. copyright or not....this site chose their rules. it includes all sides!!!! it's not just picking on one side.

dragoness for example (because everyone complains)...i personally would rather hear her own words. whether i agree or not...it's HER take on it not something the press has said. i really do like it when it's in someone's own words and site the source for their views.

i was referring to people arguing on Mike's thread...i certainly wasn't the one that mentioned it there 1st and i ONLY mentioned it saying copyright or not....it's the site's rules


i'm not sure what you are asking about posting here. from the way i understood the rules is what dragoness has been doing...posting part and then the link. personally...me myself and i...would like the article sumarized in the OP's own words with the link attached. in debate i believe in using links to site the arguements. i prefer this because i don't have a lot of faith in the media because for every article one find...you can find an article for the other side.

that would be plagerlistic and could change the meaning of the article

ummmmmmmm then how about what she is doing and posting part of it with the link....then adding her own take on it after.

she is doing what she was asked to according to the rules...and she didn't argue with mike...i have alot of respect for her for following what's asked and not fighting with the site's rules

no you are right...it's up to the MODs and the admins...and the answer was given and was still debated and argued....plain and simple...it's the rules so just follow them like you would in any other of the forums. if you don't follow the rules...then you could get warned or banned. that goes for ALL SIDES in any of the threads
