In St. Louis we get tornados. At least once a year we sit it out in our basements.

I have had a tornado go over a building I was in. The sound will always be with me.

I am so glad that you are okay.

Our skywatcher Mike Wilhelm in Cullman reports his family is safe, but there are houses destroyed on Ann and Catherine streets.

He reports ambulances are everywhere. West Elementary was hit. State route 157 was hit. He reports trees are down everywhere.

Mike reports the Salvation Army roof was damaged. The Exxon on US-31 was hit.

Early indications are that the path went from West Elementary to Food World on US-31. We did hear the kids were all safe.

There are of course, lots of emergency workers on the scenes of the damage.

Another report says there is a gas leak near Dairy Queen.

Glad your safe the big storms missed us during the night they ended up farther north heard it did a lot of damage about 30 miles north of me I feel for anyone that got hit.

If some have never seen in person what a tornado can do it is awesome a house may have no damage and the one next door is torn to bits seen some wild stuff when the one hit downtown Fort Worth a few years back.

Glad you're ok. How is the school? Are the kiddos ok?

OMG! That's too fast.

When I was a child, my Uncle lost his house that way - no sirens.

Yeah the kids are ok. The school has minimal damage. I hear the news helicopters outside right now, so maybe I can share some things later. Thank you!

Just checked the radar....there's more coming so batten down that hatches.
