I hope yours does too. It sounds ignorant in a way but I thought when it was my grandparents time to go I would be happy for them because they had lived a full and happy life, but im not. Its like shes being taken to soon.

My grandpa was diagnosed with cancer they gave him six months to live, he died a month after being diagnosed.

Hopefully your grandma does well with treatment.

I can..my stepsister found out she had breast cancer when she was pregnant so there was nothing they could do for her cause she didn't want to harm her baby. She started treatment after he was born..but it won..and we lost her about a year later:cry:

Hi, SaraKay! I'm sorry to hear your grandmother has cancer. I found out I have skin cancer two weeks ago, "thin melanoma", one dark mole on my arm that my primary doctor saw in January, and after she saw that one, I told her of a larger one on my back. Because I was getting a hip replacement in February and I had arm surgery in March, I put off going to a dermatologist till two weeks ago, thinking it probably wasn't anything but freckles. Now that I know it's cancer, I hopefully will be cured before it spreads. To everyone out there, if you notice a mole that becomes black quickly, get it checked! I never take my shirt off in the summer, but I did get some bad sunburns as a kid. Good luck to your grandmother, it can only be beat if you treat it!

I am able to relate to this. My mother died in 1997 of bone cancer. It spread so fast they told us. The doctors gave her a month-- she died in two days.brokenheart (My blessings to you, and all of yours.)

Lost my grandfather to cancer, though with his age it shouldn't have come as a shock...but I still haven't been the same since.
