I have given it some thought after reading some definitions of what pantheism is and is not and since I don't follow some people's idea of what pantheism is,... (A.E. the Nature collective) I am hereby shedding that label.

I haven't decided if I am an atheist or an agnostic when it comes to God.... so I guess since I can't prove God one way or another I guess I will have to say that I am agnostic.... (unless of course I am actually God.) I don't want to be God, so I am going to settle on agnostic.

In any case, I probably shouldn't even be posting in the religion forums. This makes the third time in my life I have adjusted my core belief system. It now stands at: I don't know.

In not knowing, I find myself with nothing to discuss.

what exactly is agnostic? i think life is about learning no matter what your beliefs. nothing wrong with changing what label you are.

Not to make light of your dilemma Jeannie as I feel you are sincere but why do you feel the need to label yourself? Be yourself and follow your heart. Answers come in due time.

I have used labels only for clarification of what might believe. but i agree...they aren't important. just helps me understand better

When my mind is blank, as it often is, I get into my head for some serious introspection. Occasionally I find more than cobwebs, like the time I found that missing sock that I thought was lost in the laundry. Whodathunk it?

If we don't need to believe in anything then it does not matter.
But I am asking: Do we need to believe in something? Do we need to find out where our heart is and what if any part of it is God?

If you don't believe in anything, what is there to life? Death? Joy? Love? Cold? A pancreas?

well I am kind of with you I believe theres a god and off course there is satan but really how the **** was mary a virgin and out pops a kid there is no way every one can tell me it's a miarcle but I know people have to have sex to make a child and so on I mean I know I did not all of a sudden just pop out of the blue. plus look at the pictures people have of what god is suppose to look like he looks like he was a pot head and he is probally not a virgin.

Virgin might have meant "young woman" in the old tongue. But you can never know for sure... might have meant the total opposite of virgin. I bite my thumb, not in that way, but in innocence!

Let me tell you how that could have happened if it did, perhaps she was abducted by aliens and inseminated and put back with her memory removed. It could happen.
