I've been there when they have been working on the car together, he's always flirting with her. She's not with him all the time at the track or even when working on the car, he does call her and asks her if she wants to come over and help with the car.

he's interested. she should hint around that she would like to go out when they are not working on the car together... something along the lines of - "you know what would really be fun? if we did <fun activity here> sometime together when we are not working on the car..." if he keeps blowing it then he fails the intelligence part of the dating test!

That's what's so bizare about the whole thing, it's like they have this balance between the two. They go out on the town then they work on the car the next day. She's just not sure if what she's is seeing is real or wishful thinking.

Just for the record NOT ME! i have pointed> < out what caught MY eye. how does your "friend" know that he does NOT have a g/f on the side? he MAY also have a "piece" on the side. but not willing to admit to it to your "friend". tell your "friend" to buy a car and ask him to help fix it up. best advice that i can give.
