as my tears fall to the ground
devoured by the thirsty earth
a drought of a thousand kisses
I thought would never end
while my heart shatters into a thousand piercing shards
breaking every thought of love that once ran through my griefstruck mind
I am reminded of what once was my life,
my love,
my happiness
why God did it end this way
