I said this on another thread, but I'll say it again: If the Yankees spend their money, they get criticized for that; If they don't spend the money, they'll be criticized for that and Cashman will be fired. They have all that money and they wanna build a team; what do you expect them to do when big name players are released into Free Agency? The pressure is always on them.

They have 26 so far, last appearance was 2003, last victory was 2000, the end of a wild dynasty.Every year, we gotta hear about some team who hasn't made it to playoffs or The World Series in 20+ years. Thankfully, The Yankees aren't one of them.

The stalls in men's bathrooms are like that, too. I still don't see what takes so long. If the seat is that disgusting, then lift the seat with your foot, do your business and get out. If you have to "get your reading done", hold it till you get home.

You can say that about any game. Can you imagine basketball having all the scores in one quarter and then go the rest of the game without any more?

I like to flirt in either world; even if I'm not even interested in the girl. Usually, it's just my sense of humor that makes me flirt. Seems like the corniest flirts work the best, but that might be just my own experience.

Also sometimes the players are not allowed to play in the WBC because their teams don't want them getting hurt in game that isn't important to the season.

Maybe it's called the World Series because the players involved come from many different parts of the world...?

Actually, the umpires sucked pretty bad throughout the entire season. I never thought I'd see two homeruns taken away in the same week. I know they try their best, but sometimes the call is just so obvious. This will actually be the first year where we have instant replay from the start of the season now, right? I almost forgot about that

What can you expect the Yankees to do, when everyone knows they have the biggest budget?

Yankees only lost one series against the Ray last year and that was in May when half the team was injured and two rookie pitchers in the rotation that cant make it past 3rd inning. The Yankees had a short off season and they simply weren't ready for 2008. They basically spent the year reconstructing in their own way.

I'm a Yankees fan and I'm ready for baseball now. I still have my doubts about the Rays even though the AL East is no longer a two party system.

Cardinals. What better way to end a weird season.
