conservative or liberated?

I took an online test once to see what it said about me.
It said I could not be defined. ![]() I have both conservative and liberal ideas - depending on the subject. I think it's very easy to be both. Now, finding the right guy at the right time, in the right situation.... not easy at all. ![]() |

No one has every actually said the words, but I've gotten the feeling before... the issues with my past relationships were not so much about this sort of thing.
I enjoy taking care of the person I love, so I may actually come on too strong for some. I think 1-4 are very important, and it's important to find a comfortable balance. #5 Gifts are not so important to me, tho - I will not say I do not like them. About the only time I feel slighted, is if I don't get a little something for my birthday. At my age, it's not exactly a happy occasion, so it's nice to have something to smile about. I don't want or expect anything pricey - just the thought. |

Good questions, and I'll be interested to hear the answers.
I look for the broken English thing - which is not always fair - you never really know, but it's a clue. Recently learned it's likely best to ignore the ones who just send out a Hi/Hello ... most times they are not serious about actually getting to know you. If someone contacts me from far away, I don't respond - unless it's a friend from the forums. There is no way I'm getting involved - so no need to start it. I've heard they can send a virus via text - I don't know if that is true. Good luck! |

It's hard to say with so few specifics, but in general - a lot of trust issues stem from low self esteem.

A cliché comes to mind.... "It's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all"
The end of my last relationship broke my heart, but I wouldn't give it up for anything. The happiness I got to feel was well worth the pain. Call me a fool - I don't care. ![]() |

Caesar III is way up there, love the old Mario games including Mario Cart.
My first video game was Pong ![]() Yes, I'm old. I loved Diablo LOD - not crazy about the newest version - just doesn't seem as fun. I like SimCity and city building the best. |

Texting/Calling...

Met a guy, had one date, it went well and he said "maybe we can be vaping buddies" Exchanged numbers, texted off and on - he never seemed too interested, so I moved on. Met someone, dated about 7 months and unfortunately it didn't work out. Reactivated my dating profile & here comes my vaping buddy. He claims I broke his heart. I said, I didn't think you were interested. We start texting again, daily... For a few days. It's been about 3 days now, haven't heard from him. I guess he's not interested again. Moral of the story - if you are interested you will make time to at least text a Good Morning, and a Good Night. (shrugs) I always laugh at the men who say they dont have time to acknowledge the person they claim to care about on a daily basis by texting. Ofcourse we have to leave room for human frailty. People get sick, or they fall asleep prematurely or they are caught up in the stress of their day. There will be days here and there where both parties will fall short in that area, but I don't understand that slip- up being a regular occurrence. But if a man does not think I am deserving of 2 minutes from his 24 hour day to text , "Im swamped today honey, but thinking of you . Hope you have a great day, ![]() I couldn't agree more!!!!! |

You may have a point there David. I guess it's only natural to look at the jerk with the desirable and sometimes kind woman on his arm , and wonder ,"What am I doing wrong?" Yes, I think that sums it up well. |

mighty moe, Is that true of the entire system, or just parts of it? If it's all - why do so many tax dollars go to prisons? Obviously, I do not believe it's ethical to make a profit from imprisioning anyone! ![]() this might help... http://www.propublica.org/article/by-the-numbers-the-u.s.s-growing-for-profit-detention-industry That is horrible!!!! |

IMO might as well be Stephen King and all of a sudden wonder "Some lady in KY stopped reading my book on page 13. Is it me?!?!" That's a good analogy. While I try to keep a positive outlook on all of this, and hope for actually finding someone at some point - it's important to differentiate between things I should and shouldn't take personally. SassyEuro I rest my case ![]() TMommy If they have nothing more to say than "Hello" I don't even reply, I delete. He's got hours, days if need be, to come up with a message. A "hello" isn't going to suffice to pique my interest. Neither does "I like your smile" and "I like your profile".. The latter proving they don't even read it, cos I clearly state I am NOT looking. The same goes for idiots asking where I live. Errr... that's in my profile! If a message isn't worth your while, simply don't reply. An interesting guy will have something to say, and it won't be a message he could've sent to 100 women in one go. oh yes indeedy if they ask name, what I am going to school for or anything stated in my profile I delete if all they gotta say is hi? why bother I thought to be nice enough to respond, and considered they might not know exactly what to say to start out with... may be shy or something. I am beginning to understand that, it's a lot more likely they are mass messaging and have no real interest in having a conversation. I find that irritating, but I guess I'll just ignore it. greeneyes148 I think most of those people are " fishing" and don't really want to put any time into building a friendship. I wouldn't give it a 2nd thought,if I were you. ![]() SDSCFof2 chicks do this to me always Sorry to hear! I guess it's just part of the process for all of us. peggy122 You are very engaging from what Ive seen inni dreamz so I suspect what the others were saying is true. These men werent genuinely interested in a friendship. They were just fishing or idly killing time. Most of the men who just start with "hi" alone, are generally poor conversationalists and not worth responding to . Thank you - it's been very helpful to read the input on this post, and I appreciate the kind words. Goofball73 I know how you feel. Men. Always leading me on. ![]() |

If he could snap once, he could snap again. He needs at the very least a treatment plan.
I think prison is a combination of punishment, and protection - in theory. It should be about rehabilitation, but certainly seems to lack in that area. The entire system is broken. I think we could learn from other countries, but I don't think those in power care enough to do so. In some cases, prison is a business and some profit from it. |
