What is a bra?
Something you wear on your head on a cold day to keep ya ears warm? :joy:
Can't be done unless you cut the bra in half.

Notwithstanding the lower sports performance, I would rather watch women's volleyball than men's, not for the game per se.
What advantage(s) should a shorter player have over a taller one? There are.

Should Israel waited until a peace deal was in place then eliminate a top Hamas military leader and its Political Bureau Chief or before jeopardising the peace negotiations?

Israel has attack 4 Arab states, Lebabnon, Syria, Iran, and Yemen in addition to Hamas. Stretching herself thin, she has ran out of tanks and weapons. Reason why Israel PM went to America.

At the end of the day, the end plan is to drag America into a war.

Even before the assassination of Haniyeh it was hard to imagine how a deal could be reached, while the two sides’ definitions of an acceptable ceasefire were so far apart. For Hamas, a ceasefire meant an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the end of hostilities. For Israel and in particular Netanyahu, it meant a pause that allowed for the release of some or all of the surviving hostages, and the right to resume the killing and maiming afterwards.
BTW, Iran is a Muslim not Arab country.

Farid it is difficult to compare measures that are subjective or involve psychosocial /emotional aspects of being . Our approach to beauty .. deliciousness etc is subjective and therefore difficult to apply a standard measure to .. not to say they can’t be measured .. just that the measurement itself will be subjective . waving

Sure "Blondey", it's still a measure even if it's subjective.

The most important aspect of measures is not the particular numerical values, but the fact that measures can be compared/ordered.
So qualities such as beauty, deliciousness, difficulty, love ... have measures.

If you are serious, which I strongly doubt, then take it as an advisory sign not to try again so you won't squander.

Regardless what you send in chat you can only delete from your end not from the person you sent it too..

How about blocking, wouldn't it cause all messages sent to and received from the blocked recipient to be erased?

"Beachfarmer",

If the thread is about what one finds bizarre in his/her own life, then I misunderstood its purpose.

Or closer to the thread's title:

brothers/sisters under the skin
they are cut from the same cloth at heart

Can you make sense out of these:

Beat around the bush
Best thing since sliced bread
The elephant in the room
A piece of cake
Bite the bullet
Cost an arm and a leg
Hold your horses
The bee's knees
Under the weather

Sex without relationship is incomplete ephemeral satisfaction, in some aspects like food without taste.

How is it possible that the assassin is a registered republican?!

Could've been a Nikki Haley voter.

Perhaps his motive was apolitical (not political).

I recall from this article:
https://www.portugalresident.com/portugal-registers-highest-level-of-excess-deaths-in-europe/

Portugal With The Highest COVID 19 Vaccination Rate
https://www.euronews.com/2021/09/23/portugal-has-the-highest-covid-19-vaccination-rate-in-the-world

It is conspiracy-theoretic to say the fact that Portugal had the highest COVID-19 vaccination rate in the world by September 2021, is the reason that it also registered the most elevated rate of deaths – tallied regardless of whether they were related to COVID or not - in Europe during at least the last week of December 2023 and the first two weeks of January 2024, if this is what you are hinting at.
Here are recent data on excess mortality in the EU, Portugal is ranked 4th in May 2024:

If a particular instance of sex for hire is morally unobjectionable, and precautions to prevent STDs are taken, then it is better to choose the option which has a lower rate of money spent per unit time of resulting pleasure.

According to http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_death_rates_by_country, the unwanted distinction of having the highest rate of deaths/million among the European countries belongs to Bulgaria.

Taken from another unrelated forum:
Regarding COVID cases/deaths and economic recovery, Portugal has the highest COVID 19 vaccination rate in the world. Now Portugal registers the highest level of excess deaths in Europe.

Here is a question for you, imagine yourself in this situation.
You, your wife and only child are on holiday, there is an accident while taking a sailing trip together and your wife and child fall in to the water very close to a waterfall and neither of them can swim.
You are a very strong swimmer but immediately realise there is only time to save one of them, which one do you save?
Socrates gave a seemingly convincing answer to this old question.
What is your answer? I don't think Socrates is a member. smile2

My answer is the same as the ancient Greek philosopher's, search for it on the web.
