I’ve found that certain genres of music just seem to fit with the rolling of the year
It starts with my birthday in may I listen to classic rock from may to July In July I start to get ready for the Philly folk festival by listening to nothing but folk, early blues and bluegrass After the folk festival, in late August, I begin to listen to nothing but jazz I start with early ragtime and the roots of jazz, then move on to swing jazz as the weather starts to change By the time the leaves are red I’m into the big band era Then it’s nothing but Christmas music until Christmas (I know that’s pretty corny) After the new year begins I listen to nothing but fusion jazz And the when spring starts to break I’m into nothing besides the greatest master of music himself, namely BACH I listen to cantata after cantata until my birthday Then the cycle starts all over again Anyone else here like that? Just curious |
