Friendship can fulfill all those things in that advertisement. Friendship is often a commitment to long term trust and companionship that endures the failures which so easily destroy other relationships. Yet it falls far short of the mark to ever near fulfillment of that closer union inside of which even the best of friends dare not tread.  
At this point I'd even be happy with a trusted friend and companion. Just having someone to go to dinner and a movie with once in a while would be nice |
