Your first time.....
|

I grew up around computers. It was a commodore 64, I believe.
My first time on the internet was in 96', so I was 13. I discovered that my school was offering Internet Service to the households of students for free, I suggested it to my mother.. instead, we decided to start paying for internet through Bellsouth. Then shortly after, we went to AOL. ah.. the days of AOL. |

when the % sign shows on the properties - isn't that replacing a space. ie, shoe lace - would show up as shoe%lace? the % is usually to indicate an ascii code. If there's and imbedded space in a url, they will use the ascii code for space which is 20 which will show in the url as %20. In the example given, shoe lace would show on the url as shoe%20lace For clarification, ASCII isn't a code, it's a standardized interpetation of values in machine code. The notion is, it corresponds a particular value to a particular legible character. In this instance, 20h (which is actually '2'x16^1 + '0'x16^0 = 32 in base 10 or decimal base, the h indicating it is based in hexadecimal as 20) corresponds to the character/symbol 'space'. ASCII stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. That's right, I made a mistake in my clarification. The point of the clarification was to note that people don't code ASCII in a manner that people code in languages like HTML. ASCII represents the standardization of correlating set values to displayable certain characters. Where as a programmer can write his own program to correlate his own values into characters of his design. It wouldn't be considered ASCII. |

alright.. lets chew on this...
Computer degrees are so bastardized... This seems to be along your degree plan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bachelor_of_Science_in_Information_Technology This is the wiki classification of the study of Information Technology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bachelor_of_Information_Technology note the Business affiliation in that description. note the science orientated degree listed in the description, Computer Science. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Science If you read through the material/content within the Computer Science and Bachelors of Science in Information Technology articles, you'll note the major difference between the two, in study. Computer Science 's material actually emphasizes on ARTS & SCIENCES* (or the theoretical side of computers and computation). Information Technology's material emphasizes on BUSINESS (or the applicable side of computers within business, and computer fields of business). Of course, the basic mathematical and basic conception of how computers work is distilled in Information Techs, but does that really warrant the degree to be 'of Science', as opposed to 'of Business' for Information Techs, which it most definitely is business related. The whole computer degrees structure from university to university seems screwed up, and ambiguous. Doesn't it annoy you that you're not receiving a business degree? Or perhaps even a Business and Science degree, if you're in fact covering more theoretical material than what the article posted? * - As you know, Arts & Sciences are actually part of the same department in most, if not all, universities, based on their abstract conceptual similarities (remembering that science is actually based on our relevant perception in accordance to repeatable results). :P |

I saw a line in your image code that says, "myspacelogin". It will only display if you are logged into myspace and you have permission to view it. Yep.. if you make your profile viewable only by friends, then public albums are still considered private, I believe. Hence, you wouldn't be able to link the image in forums like this over the net. If you have a public profile, but certain albums & 'modules' (sections of your information) are private, you can just make a public album of random art, and you'll be able to post those URLs around. Though, you images may be adjusted when uploading to myspace. Much like mingle2 overlays the mingle2 stamp at the bottom right of every picture you upload here, any webserver can adjust images during the upload process. |

~~~ now who knows how to clean mouse balls? I think they lick their own balls, like dogs do. No cleaning needed! ![]() ![]() haha.. that reply deserves kudos... seriously though, no optical mouse for your laptop? do they even make usb 'balled' mouses anymore, if at all? .. and before I get a similar reply as the one I kudo.. yes, 'balled' mouse.. as opposed to 'balless' mouse, otherwise known as optical.. haha I guess an alterative would be, this is a laptop that has a serial port for its mouse... which.. would be... strange. I've seen adapter pieces for USB to serial.. but I don't recall ever seeing a serial to usb.. |
Slow Computers
my word... how are yall going to trouble shoot someone's computer based on the very relative term of 'slow', without getting specifications from the person? Only 1 time did anyone ask, 'what are you running'.
Lets start over, shall we? Click 'Start' > 'Run' > type 'dxdiag' > press ENTER or 'OK' (you may be prompted for some DirectX digital signature, just press click okay) Now, you should see the DirectX diagnostic Tool. On the bottom right, Press the button 'Save All Information' > Save it to your Desktop ( Save as Dxdiag.txt ) Now minimize all your windows/dialogs still your see your desktop. Open The file you just saved ( Dxdiag.txt )> Highlight the lines, starting with Operating System, through Page File> Copy The highlighted section. Post that information in this room. |
I think my perception of love is quite different from everyone else's. Love, to me, is a completely understandable, selfish pursuit of happyness. I think when it makes you happy to make the object of your affection happy, you're infact in love. It's disappointing, because it's a matter of perspective, and it's bound to change. Better to have loved and lost I suppose... so no, I don't think it's overrated, I think it's misjudged, misunderstood, and after awhile, simply missed. It's those moments of innocence that when you look back and think, I was cluelessly happy then.. haha
I think it takes patience to overcome those blissfully loving moments of time in a relationship gone real, and I think that's becoming more difficult when the general consensus is we are missing out a blissful love high relationship because we got swept away by lonelyness and started an 'insignificant' one. |
