Dude, I don't know how a poem about the death of a little girl is
"creepy" even if it is poorly written, but you go ahead man. |

I've been to the bottom but when I could write about it I was already
beginning a new assent. I hope it works the same way for you. |

that is the eternal question. I like it when people even ask questions.
People like you. |

FOR YOU
hey little girl, with the voice as soft as the wind on a muggy summer afternoon. hey little girl, with the eyes of chocolite candy kisses delivered on valentines day. i want to tell you how much i fear losing you, but i cant find the words. i cant find the words to describe the daily gnawing, muscle tensing, ache in the pit of my stomach, that manifests from my fear, frustration, and insecurity. don't play too close to the open window. hold my hand the whole time we walk, and stay on the inside. watch the stove. did we proof all the sockets? don't worry you will get better soon. we'll sit together in the ice water to break this fever. keep ypur head up, together we'll get through. did we do everything we could? hey little girl, with a smile as pure as an artesian well. hey little girl, my expressionless eyes create rivers of flowing memories. hey little girl, i'm so sorry you got sick. my sweet little girl i've thought of you with my bic against my wrist. but i have to stay. i have to stay. hey little girl, who looks down on me, this father's scarred heart still beats and all the good i'll ever do is for you. |

this poem of yours. I decided to post as my way of saying "hi" to this community I signed in on about 20 min.ago. |

Thank you for sharing your work. I hope you write another one soon. I
live and breath poetry all day (in the middle of writing a book)and after going back and forth with my editor today, I thought I was tired of poetry, but after I read your poem I realized I wasn't. p.s. It was the editor I was sick of. |

Thank you to michael1313 for inspiring this post. This is from my first
book. CHANGE changed views can mean changed lives. changed lives can mean a new open-mind. an open mind can mean the ability to tolerate. to tolerate means to live and let live. comfortable living breeds growth. growth breeds enlightenment. enlightened breeding means a new civilization that is not afraid of change. heaven on earth can't be too far behind. |
