That may have been a different kind of chemistry. What reason or purpose did she give you when you asked her, and in what part of the world were you two?....just curios.

From a young age, that is before I started dating I told myself I won't go for age gap greater than 7 years. That is because in my country pension age was 60 for women and 65 for men. I always thought of dating as a step to marriage, so I would not like to keep working for many years when my husband is no longer working....a mismatch.

I think for 'fun people' yes there's a lot of young women looking for older men, and vice versa.

Thank you mates. My point exactly. Profiles on social media are to be looked at. And if it is like looking at a person entering a room, why would they react in the mannersome people do here? If I would be first to write I would greet and introduce myself, regardless of whether the person had looked at my profile or not or they looked at me when I entered the room or not.

Sometimes after reading a thread I get so curious that I read the writer's profile. Surprisingly this occassionally attracts some writers to e-mail me. Some are younger than my youngest child. One wrote ''I am sorry with me you have to prove who you are first...''.

Is looking at a profile suggestive?

Hi everyone. I think everyone has their preference. On other sites I met many people who, according to my opinion, were not sure what they were looking for and our communication just faded.

It took very few exchanges of mail for us to come to agree on a serious relationship here. I did not have profile pics, he had one. I sent mine to his e-mail address. I am a simple woman with no make up.
