Calculus?....I thought this was algebra... Please; review the concept of both and arithmetic too ! Ive been known to enter the wrong class before...no need to get snappy at me... If its (1/2 x1/2 x5) +3 , then I think its 4 1/4 as well. But if its 1/2 x 1/2 x (5+3) , then it could be 2. Now if its 1/2 x [(1/2 x 5) + 3], it could be 2 3/4 ....? |

so what is the answer? |

9.25 ? Nope! Please;review basic arithmetic rules. Sometimes; it's good to do it' it could be very useful in life. Only a gentle advice. |

Rule of math, multiplication and division comes first, then addition and subtraction, unless the numbers are in brackets.
