I've been single my entire life. Part of it is because people assume I'm taken and don't bother to ask. When I tell them I'm single, they don't believe me. I've been told to lie and say that I was seeing someone, but I don't want to start a relationship on a lie.

being single is a happy thing or a sad thing? WTF fact: The longer you are single, the more you think that something's wrong with you. I agree. I've been single since......um.......ever. I get looks, sure, but no one talks to me as a human being...an equal.

I figured I could give this a try before completely giving up on dating. I've never been on a date, believe it or not. I've never been in any relationship. As far as I can tell, it was things out of my control that caused it (people saying "don't date her," or abuse at home). I've tried other dating sites and got nothing. Maybe some messages from people saying, "hi," but that's it. I'm going to try this site a for a while and see what happens.
