Retreating
Into myself I don't know Where else to go. I have no time machine To retreat into the Past So I must suffer the present. |

wow. Wouldn't that be great if in the past I lost my virginity. At least you still have the chance for it to be special xx The older I get the more I give up on the idea. But maybe when I'm 40 or something I'll finally have sex. It'll be just like that movie lmao |

Thinking that you are limited is what is limiting you True but it is hard to get work when you have little work experience to begin with. I'm a college student so in the past I just took classes instead of working. But the good thing about where I'm from in Arkansas is that there's more work and people hiring. So I have more opportunities here. I used to live in Michigan where the economy sucks. So glad I don't live there anymore. |

I can understand. We don't get as much choice, nowadays. We can't win. The Jobcentres just want to see us as slaves. It's a joke. Pretty much. When I lived in Tucson, Arizona this restaurant was hiring a dishwasher and so they were having a sort of open interview process where you just showed up at a set time and got in line to get interviewed. When I arrived there was like 10 people in line. It was ridiculous. And then when I finally got interviewed he basically told me there were several others that were interviewed that already had experience. What a waste of time! |

It doesn't get better, no matter the job Ha yeah, well I think some jobs would be better but with my lack of experience and my lack of a degree my options are pretty limited. |

I work at a fast food place and it gets irritating sometimes because I have to work with 16 year old girls. And they're trying to tell me what to do and I'm just thinking "uhh I'm about nine years older than you. I know exactly what I'm doing. It's not that difficult. And then some of them are so slow and lazy and do nothing but talk! Ugh, they should be glad I'm not the manager because there would be a couple less employees. Thank god though that I only have to deal with them on the weekends. I work morning shift which means they're normally still in school and out of my hair. And I'm not just picking on the girls. There's one high school boy that's pretty annoying too. But at least he has some work ethic and he doesn't just stand around.
Sorry I had to vent as I have nobody really to talk to. |

Online dating

I've come to the conclusion that online dating is actually more difficult than just meeting some person nearby and asking them on a date. At least in real life they actually have to respond to you when rejecting you rather than on here where they just flat out ignore you.
The only thing this website does for me is remind me of how I'm not good enough. |

I'm not really a new member but I haven't been active for a long time and so I'd just like to say I'm still here!
I'd like to meet that special someone even if it's long distance. So maybe check out my profile? And talk to me if you'd like :) |

Long distance relationship

I think so too. She though she could handle it. When we first starting talking she was really happy. But then she started getting depressed. I think she felt like we were never going to meet because she lived in Brazil going to school and I was in the States. I think it was partially that sense of hopelessness in ever meeting that caused things to fall apart.

Yeah what he said. I didn't get really any responses until I started using the forums. Maybe answer others and give advice and ppl will see you and maybe message you! Good luck

Long distance relationships are like short distance ones, they work as long as both parties want them to Ah the wisdom..I agree. But long distance has its unique challenges. She wasn't up to it I guess, which is understandable. |

That's what I think it was. She needed intimacy and I couldn't provide that for her. I could have waited it out until we met but I guess she just couldn't wait that long. I wish I had known that from the beginning so maybe I could save myself from getting emotionally attached.

It's sort of a waste of time, but in my case, I'm bored so I'll just give it a shot anyway. Well, anyway good luck man. Sorry to hear about what happened. That really sucks

Long distance relationship

I'm sorry guys. I don't really have a particular point in writing this. I guess I just want to talk about it.
Well, I was in a long distance relationship for two months with a 20 yr old girl from Brazil. She is an amazing girl, studying engineering at the university there and very success driven. I met her on a blogging site and we started to message each other. I honestly really thought she was the "one," you know, the one I'd spend the rest of my life with. I've never really been in a relationship before so it was all totally new to me. I'm a shy person in real life. I don't go out, party, or meet people (so that's mainly why) It was like hitting the jackpot because she's an awesome girl with goals and everything. I couldn't believe she was actually interested in me! But yeah, it turned out to be too good to be true. The long distance part of it was too hard on her. She said she felt like crap for not being able to hardly give me any attention (because she was always busy with something. I hardly ever got to talk with her.) Plus, she told me she needed a hug once in awhile. I couldn't even give her that. Well, now I'm back to square one. It was a good experience I guess, but now I feel like if I ever got into such a relationship again it would just be a repeat of what happened with her. |

Well, as a guy I'm not sure how much my opinion counts, but it looks alright. I think you present yourself very well.

Preexisting conditions

I'm not very savvy when it comes to politics. I was wondering if someone here could explain this part of healthcare to me. Apparently insurance companies won't take people with preexisting conditions so part of Obamacare is making them do it.
Many people view that as a bad thing because it will make demand of doctors and healthcare professionals go up while supply of the same is limited. I don't know myself. I think everyone should be able to get treatment, but I guess our healthcare system is already pretty taxed. What do you think? |

Atheism is a religion!
|
|
I'm a Christian and I do not view Atheism as a religion. Without any other words to accompany it, it doesn't give any information except that the person lacks a belief in God.
There are spiritual atheists who believe in ghosts, etc and there are atheists who don't. Technically, you could still be an atheist and believe in a heaven, although it would be one devoid of a God. So there are no set rules within atheism. You can make a distinction though between those atheists who are anti-theistic and those who aren't. The former will try to deconvert theists and/or actively seek to undermine belief while the latter will opt out of getting involved in such pursuits. |

I have two sisters who've done exactly that: Say they want someone nice, but then get with jerks, users, etc. My one sister just got out of a bad relationship. The guy kept on stealing her money to blow at the casino. But thankfully he's gone now.
