Hell, to be technical, my belief is that anyone should be able to criticize anyone else's beliefs. Yet you sit here criticizing my belief in that. Are you so perfect lindyy that you can judge what statements I should or should not be able to make? Who are YOU to judge my belief in copious criticism?

If its personal. Then shut up about it. If its personal, don't talk about it on a public internet forum. If it's personal, I'll never know one way or another to criticize or not.
"to make judgments as to merits and faults. " You don't have to be perfect in order to do that. There's a difference between needing perfection (god, or whatever) in order to judge a person, and just having a unique thought process in order to "discuss the merits and faults of" something. So you're trying to tell me then, that if you think it's okay to run around punching babies in the face and slitting the throats of puppies, and you talk about these beliefs, that I should just let it slide because it's "personal"? |

I won't date a person who isn't actually a person and actually is a toaster oven. See the problem. If you really TRULY loved them, it shouldn't matter that they are a toaster oven. On the other hand, if you knew they were a toaster oven when you met then, you probably wouldn't have begun to date them in the first place. |

Every belief should be criticized. If you believe something you should be able to take and respond to criticism, otherwise it's blind faith and is on par with plain ignorance. I disagree....who is anyone to stand in judgment of what another PERSONALLY believes? Is each individual so PERFECT that he/she can play judge & jury? I THINK NOT!!! This is the USA is it not? Land of the free? Lindyy Honestly, that was a ridiculous comment. Did I said judge or jury? No. Sorry. Try again. Move along if you can't even debate the actual words I use. I said criticize. I feel if you cannot tell the difference between "criticize" and "judge and jury" then you should look these words up before attempting to comment with them. A person can criticize another without being perfect. And if this is the land of the free, the I'm free to criticize whomever I want. I have a very religious friend of mine whom I'm very close to. Back in high school as we grew up together I used to criticize basically all of his religious views for the sake of argument. He thanks me for it now on the basis that it made him have to think (key word, try it someday) about his own beliefs and decide in more depth if they were truly his. Now his faith is much stronger as a result. I don't judge. But if I see something done, said, or thought, that I think is ignorant, stupid or wrong then I'm going to comment. Prepare to contest me. |

Well, clearly someone isn't doing their job right if it's not destroying more computers. I think hackers are slacking these days.

I don't disagree that people can be hypocrites though. That just means they are 3 things and not just the previously mentioned 2.
I wouldn't talk hitler's mom into aborting. I have no personal beef with hilter. He is no more at fault than anyone who could have stopped him and didn't, actually many of those people are worse. But besides, I'd have to guess as to the nature of the changes in history if hitler hadn't been around before I'd know if I wanted him gone. On the other hand I'm pro choice, and pro war (not passionately so). |

If you know what I'm talking about with that subject we'll get along.
I just realized I had forgotten how to spell biscuit. I'm 22, I live in northern california in a town that there is no reason for any of you to know. I like long walks on the beach. I don't live near a beach. Problematic. I'm looking for a someone, but I'm not expecting. I've been on this site for a few days now. It seems like a fun community and I expect I'll be continuing to participate in it, so I felt like introducing myself. My name is Darren. |

A person still can be pro-life and pro-war, in that pro-life is referring to killing fetus' not Iraqis. The term "pro-life" is used to refer to the issue of abortion and not life in general. Christians are quite fond of being "pro-life" in that aspect, but history shows us that christians have also been fond of killing things since their inception(see crusades).
