The combination to my heart can't be smashed open with a mallet
Nor even by the skilful hand of a master lock-picker

It can't be opened with honey soaked words of desire
Nor the saccharine sweetness of heady lust

Because his patience is infinite
His timing is perfect
His need is as great as mine
And he KNOWS me
Like no other

And what HE does, he DOES so very, very gently
That this lock opens wide
and in it
A heart beating passionately

How could it not
How could I resist
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I wouldn't
.
.
.
And
.
.
.
I didn't.

Siamo pienamente consapevoli
Non abbiamo da dire

Ma abbiamo tranquillamente confessiamo
Quindi nessuno altro pu sentire
Teniamo a vicenda privata
Teniamo ogni altri caro

Cos, quando arriva l'amore chiama
So che il suo biglietto da visita
Incisione in oro, con parole sottili
Dal mio cuore non egli sbarrate

Thank you for the kind words everyone. :)

The animal is the Panther, Latin: Panthera Onca, aka Melanistic Jaguar.

Padding stealthily through the forest
Brown eyes fully focussed
Heartbeat calming beating
Through the monkeys' nuisance chorus

Their stench of fear my nostrils fill
As they swing from vine to vine
Their chattering is so loud and shrill
On monkey meat I do not dine

But there it was within my sight
This strange animal and veneer
A rabid dog frothing in the night
Reinforcing its mad, mad jeer

I too came to see the worried beast
But was sadly disappointed
The chattering monkeys has disappeared
Was the rabid dog placated?

So I arched my back and stretched my limbs
And padded slowly home
Savouring the still night air
Larger forests still to roam

Fracus16, it was unnecessary to 'tag' your verse to mine and would have been better as a new poem. Please let your 'frisky' side out on a new thread perhaps. Both mine and Pengwens' verse were complimentary. Not harm done but your 'saltiness' was out of step.

Unnecessary to share that but I suppose you have your reasons.

The burning is thankfully not of pain
The burning is desire
The man who chose to strike the match
Did so with his fire

I will not curse the rain that falls
Because his fire in me calls
From across the sea, he to me
And I go there willingly

Thank you Pengwen for your very beautiful reply. *bows head low in appreciation*

My body's burning in my bed
My instincts are true
And in this moment I think of you
The fire burns hotter
.
.
I do not curse the match you struck
.
I do not curse the lightening
.
I do not curse the sunshine
.
I do not curse the rain
.
You said you could see me
.
But you never said if I'd recognise you
.
Or what casing would suit you
.
This time
.
You split yourself into three
.
The selection process?
.
No
.
In your divisions
.
.
You satisfy

For you, by Tulip1969

The ligthness of the words we share
Serve only to show us that we care
I did not see you standing there
You made yourself be known

I laughed and bit my lip so tight
How could this meeting be so right
You take me to the highest heights
You made yourself be known

This warmth that's growing deep inside
The blushes that I cannot hide
You protected me with so much pride
You made yourself be known

I nervously play with my hair
Yes I'm a girl and I don't care
My perfume slowly fills the air
I made myself be known

You reached your hand across the void
And I was simply overjoyed
My heart my mind will not be toyed
We made ourselves be known

That mop of thick brown curly hair
Our eyes we cannot stop but stare
The intensity of us both there
We make ourselves be known
