The lightness of the words we share
Serve only to show us that we care
I did not see you standing there
You made yourself be known

I laughed and bit my lip so tight
How could this meeting be so right
You take me to the highest heights
You made yourself be known

This warmth that's growing deep inside
The blushes that I cannot hide
You protected me with so much pride
You made yourself be known

I nervously play with my hair
I'm a girl and I don't care
My prefume slowly fills the air
I made myself be known

You reached your hand across the void
And I was simply overjoyed
My heart and mind will not be toyed
We made ourselves be known

That mop of thick brown curly hair
Our eyes we cannot stop but stare
The intensity of us both there
We make ourselves be known

He did not need to be childish
He did not need to be mean
He did not need aspects to control
The passaion soft and clean

He did not need to run to 'mom'
When his ego is so bruised
He did not need to feel to say
Something wonderful I will lose

This 'new' happily discusses things
That make me laugh and cry
He talks about funny people
He told me of his dreams

I told him of places
I would like to visit now
The places I want to see
Time said 'Yes, now'

We speak no words when quietly
Some words do not need to speak
We never thought that we ever
Sit in each others head

Your resting head upon my lap
The silence of the room
Just the steady beating
Of two hearts that are in tune

Your arms wrapped gently round me
My stroking fingers through your hair
Sharing this calm, sweet serenity
The two of us laying there

You knew what I was thinking
I knew what you were too
This category of one right now
Had gently become two

How long did we lay there
Before our eyes finally closed
Slowly drifting into sleep
No vulnerabilities left to expose

Hanging lanterns red and gold
Dancing Lion to and fro
Nian defeated comes no more
A celebration of folklore

Flying Lion dancers leap
Skill and humour they still keep
Jumping now from pole to pole
This is Flying Lions' role

Through the streets the drummers drum
Vibrations through your body thrum
Shaolin Fists Lion Dance Team
Every performance crisp and clean

Thank you for the welcome (and flowers), is it still considered a welcome if I've been here for a few months but never needed tech advice *looks sheepishly*. Agreed about the filters...these men have become Schroedinger's cat!

Hi mightymoe, sadly it's in the area where you have the large block photo and your own, like well trained lab mice we dutifully click 'yes, no, maybe' but in my case, the counter doesn't go down...*lights a cigarette and sips her coffee*

How do I delete those that wish to Mutual Match with me but I do not? I'd have to set my preferences to aged 18-80 and go through all of them just to have a clear box...*sighs*...the internet of 'things'.

Look a little closer dear
From head down to tail fin
She tears raw fish with shark sharp teeth
Aquatic life her kin

Her skin is covered with tapered scales
She's of the Sea remember
Coated in a thick slime skin
Not bedecked in shells and treasure

She neither sits on rocks just singing
Nor gazing in a mirror
She's a guardian of the Ocean wide
Protecting from human error

My fingers run along your spine
My eyes dilate with pleasure
Now that you are finally mine
The joy I cannot measure

My heart had pounded in my chest
I'd felt I was not able
But there you were in all your splendour
Beyond that walnut table

I wondered if I'd ever have you
You really were sought after
But something told me deep inside
It was now or never

Tracing the small groove on your left
And found you were not taken
Four books of poems bound in dark leather
and 'yes' a first edition!

Those 'stars' you see above you,
Those 'stars' you see at night
From the distant past it reaches you
Those little 'dots' of light

Is it a newly birthed Galaxy?
Or a high velocity White Dwarf?
A rapidly spinning neutron star?
The Universe is quite vast

Quasars, Pulsars, Binaries
A possible Wolf-Rayet too
Their ages can be understood
The spectrum of light is the clue

While clouds above obscure my views
I never cease to be amazed
And as soon as those clear skies resume
Upwards is my gaze

For Carl Sagan, my hero.

Only after this :pause:
when all your ego is gone :pause:
you are at your most

sensitive
desirable
calm
devoid of arrogance
