It's pretty sad for me. I don't actively try to meet people anymore. lol and last year I saw "the other woman" with one of my girlfriends and we laughed so hard at the truth of it all. I kinda have a fear that the older men are usually all taken and the ones that aren't are the rejects. And then a few dates will always remind me that this is probably the case. If you come up with a better game plan than I do please share it Crystal :)

The problem with "the secret" is it's affirmation of things...but unrealistic things that don't really offer much backup except your beliefs... like ...I will be 6ft tall...um no you are not. I am skinny...um no you are not. The way to make affirmations work for you is to follow through with it using commitment. Just for the skinny example: Try saying I am committed to lose 40lb by XX date and in order to achieve that I will run 6 days a weeks for XX amount of time. The more specific you are the more clarity you have in achieving your goal. You gotta gave a road map! Just like saying you wanna be a millionaire...sure we all do...but what are you gonna do to get you there. Affirmations are great but choose the right one with a map to achieve it.
