sleep paralysis is nothing but an effect of waking up from REM sleep. when you enter REM sleep, your body becomes paralyzed to keep you from acting out your dreams. When you wake up abruptly, you may still be dreaming, though you can see your environment, which explains the shadows. Your body is also still paralyzed; that doesnt take long to dissipate.

i get very aggressive when i see a man strike a woman (especially when i'm with my "crew"). that's just plain wrong.
