I just thought this up, since it is raining here now. I am watching tv and chatting on the computer.

I read your profile. Why do you limit who can write to you?

Not sure if I am a lurker either, but I do like checking profiles...that helps satisfy the nosiness part of me.

I went to that one year with my middle son and his gf. I bought a carousel made out of tin. It was too big for where I wanted to put it, so I sold it in a yard sale. Made a profit too!

I would prefer to find a man...lol

I went to one of the Covered Bridge Festivals last year. Had a great time with my friends. We made one mistake though, we tried meeting together there, calling on our cell phones once we got there. NO RECEPTION! Try looking for someone in the that crowd, not easy to do. But we eventually met up with each other, so it all worked out. Next time we are meeting somewhere else then going there as a group.

Both of my parents are deceased. My dad was involved in a car accident and my mom passed due to illness. Both are missed very much.

I remember running home off the school bus, we lived in the country, to watch Dark Shadows on tv, none of this Days of Our Lives or The Guiding Light. Helping with the household chores and doing homework before going out to play. Going to Grandma's house every Sunday for dinner, seeing all the aunts, uncles, and cousins there. Playing jump rope and going to the nearby school to play on the playground equipment, not destroying it while we were there. Helping others who needed it with out expecting payment in return.
I remember when you used a phone to call someone, a typewriter to write something, and a camera to take pictures, ahhh, the instant cameras where the film developed right before your eyes. Did anyone else fan it to make it dry faster?
Lots of things have changed. Is it for the better? Maybe, maybe not.

I have learned from my past, widowed now going on 7 yrs. Won't make the same mistakes, it ruins a relationship. So I now know what I want out of a partner, a relationship, and life. TO BE HAPPY!!!

Why do people not answer messages? Is it because they are not interested or what? And how do they know? Some profiles are kind of blank. Is it the picture posted or the id? Does anyone know? LOL

I feel the same way. Why bother if you feel uncomfortable from the beginning.

I have lived in Indiana most of my life, and as I get older, I do not care for the cold or winters as much as I used to when I was younger. But the thing about Indiana weather, if you do not like it now, wait 5 minutes and it will change, lol.
If I could get my kids to move somewhere warmer, I sure would too. The heat and humidity does not seem to bother me as much as the cold, Seems if my hands or feet get cold, I am cold all over and hard to get warmed up.

Why is his nose crooked?

If I had the money, I would open another movie theater here, we only have one so the owner has a monopoly on the market. He needs some competition. Also, I would open a Family Fun Center, provide good quality care for babies so the parents can enjoy spending time with the older children but still be able to check on their younger ones. Then I would open a coffee/tea house, where single people could go to meet each other, no alcohol involved, so everyone can keep their wits about them. Who knows, maybe it could be a real place to Mingle.
