Has anyone ever dated someone and felt uneasy and hired a private investigator or anything along those lines? If so, what happened?

No, but I was being watched for a couple monthes last year, until I moved.

If it "feels" that way at the beginning, I would walk away. No sense starting something that doesn't feel safe. YOU ARE NORMALLY RIGHT.

If you've gone to the trouble and expense of an investigator, you are in way over your head, IMO. Besides - what kind of a basis for a relationship is that, anyway?

Never hired an investigator. If I ever felt that way I would just end the relationship. Cant see continuing something I was uncomfortable with.

I have a friend I met in a chat forum. She is a police officer, and runs any guy that she plans on dating. She says she would rather know it all up front, instead of investing time and emotion and then finding out he was a con artist or worse. I guess being a police officer does make you think of the worst in everyone.

You need to be very careful now days. I'm sure she has seen more than she wants to talk about at work. But still a user is a user really can't check that out.
