Why Peru?? I've traveled & lived outside the US for years. The hardest things are language barriers, do you speak Spanish? If not, then you will always be standing around wondering what people are saying.

I sailed here about 3 weeks ago & I think I'll leave my boat here for cyclone season (Nov. - Apr.). It's a beautiful place with amazingly friendly people, just not a really good place to be alone! If someone wants to come down and join me, Air New Zealand has a special - $759RT from LAX. I am staying in a huge rundown house on the beach, it's amazing for what I'm paying! If someone wants to join me for daysails, snorkeling & general adventures, write me please. Loneliness is such a drag on an island of happy honeymooners!
