I just dropped a log about 10 minutes ago. Man it hit the water ..floated for a minute and then sank like it had led in it. I have to eat less roughage I think. It was like given birth to a piece of wicker furniture. I don’t know about split'en logs but I think I might have busted a few capillaries in my eye balls when I was doing the old Thrust and Release routine with terd-zilla in there. Oh, and as far as all that spirit stuff goes….. well I felt 10 pound lighter and almost floated of the crapper when I was done. Maybe that's what's wrong with the go-devil designers. They had a totally wrong picture of what a log should be.

Lets try this another way. What is so extraordinary about the people we have been picking for the last 20 years?
Money, fame, Ivey league schools and their pedigrees. Hell most of congress is made up of former lawyers. What’s so special about having a law degree? In fact most people hate lawyers …until they need one. You know Hitler wanted all of his people to have a pedigree too. Love that term comparing humans to dogs. It’s so elitist. . Some of the most brilliant people in the history of the world hated formal education. Most brilliant people like to think for themselves. They don’t like to be indoctrinated into a “Way” of thinking by “Higher Education.” Some of the most brilliant people in the history of the world grew up with modest means. Now Sarah Palin is not a Nobel Prize winner and John McCain did not split the atom..... But extraordinary things come from ordinary people every day. Police , Firemen , Nurses and so on and so on. God Bless America!!!! God Sarah Palin is so great to have around. You BET'CHA!!!!! |

We don’t make anything in this country anymore right? I mean we are a "SERVICE" economy now right?
What would happen if people started opening businesses that only sold American made goods right now? "American Made” . I can see it now. We could build up our own manufacturing base again. I know cheaper labor in other markets right? Well, ever wonder why congress doesn’t enforce stricter trade deals with China and the like. I mean you would think that we should charge china what they charge us to import goods to their country right? After all china might actually have to pay their workers more to compete then right? I know slave labor and communism right. Well then we should restrict trade with them then. Oh, wait that would mean that greedy American business men, who lobby congress would not get a crack at those billions of Chinese people who want their products...hmmmm. I mean, so what if China is trying to poison and kill our children with tainted goods. As long as politicians and greedy business elites are taken care of then the hell with the rest of us right? After all you are just ordinary and you don’t have a pedigree and well, your children will most likely never rub elbows with the "SPECIAL" people in Washington and corporate America... be they Republican or Democrat... right????? HMMMMMMMM makes you think doesn’t it. |

In my last post someone inferred that Mc Cain would be a better president cause he is more like a regular joe. My question is, when did we as americans decide that we would settle for regular, ordinary, average or common people to lead us? Do we really want that in a time of crisis? I just came in from chopping would and would like to share the following thoughts. I've been using a really old "go-devil" to split logs. A go-devil is a hand-held log splitter much like an ax. Actually it more like a sledge hammer that has been shaped into an ax-like blade on end. Well, I must have had my go-devil for decades. I have probably put about 5 or 6 new handles on it over the years. It has been an extremely loyal tool. I often called it, "Mr. Onewhack" because it will usually at least crack a log with the first blow if not completely split it. Ok, so recently I lost Mr. Onewhack. I know he's around here somewhere but I can't find him. So I had no choice but to purchase a new go-devil. I went out shopping for one and everywhere I went they had the same thing. None of which had the sensuously curved head that Mr. Onewhack has. They just didn't look inviting. So fine, this is what everyone has on their shelves in every store I went in so this must be the in thing right? Maybe an improvement in the design? I bought one to the tune of almost 30 bucks. I brought it home and tried to split logs with it. What a pain in the butt! This thing didn't want to split a log to save its soul. I started calling it Mr. Nosplit. It took at least 3 or 4 really hard blows just to get the log to start to crack. This was absurd. I don't have that kind of energy to waste. I could have split three or four logs with the old go-devil with less energy than it takes to split just one long with this new one. I was distraught with disgust. What's wrong with people? They had a great design and now they manufacture this crap? Then I remember the sensuous curves of my old go-devil and I grabbed the new go-devil and headed off to the grinder. I ground down the head to look like the old go-devil and then when back out to spilt logs. Sure enough those logs just popped apart like there was nothing to it. So WHY is this? What's wrong with our modern society that they don't even know what they are doing? Who designed and manufactured these modern log splitters? Clearly it was someone who never had to split a log in their life. Then I got to thinking. This is much like religion. People just preach religion when in truth they have absolutely no experience with the spirit at all. They claim to know the spirit, blah, blah, blah, but in truth they don't live their lives like as if they do. Just like the log splitter couldn't split logs. The moral of the story is that thinking that we know something isn't nearly the same thing as actually knowing it.

You get what you pay for. $8.00 an hour will get you a bunch of dumb ass employees who don’t give a rat’s rear end about you the customer.
The Airline industry has the same problem with contract workers doing its baggage handling. Say these contract companies get $25.00 an hour for each of their sub contracted employees working for an airline. The contract company in turn only pays it’s baggage employees $8.75 out of that $25.00 an hour to load and unload planes and handle bags in the baggage system. These contractors burn up and break airline equipment and abuse luggage all the time. They don’t care because they have no investment in the company that they have been contracted to work for. So customers get crappy service. It's simple to understand really. |

wonder how many so called african americans never had an african descendant not all blacks are from africa and not all blacks were descendants of slaves kinda funny how people (green purple orange color is not relative) fall for the separation of themselves for any reason as long as there is a separation on a grand scale people will take offense to another group thus prejudice prospers and divide and concur wins again soon all freedoms and liberties will be gone cause were to busy complaining about prejudice and not watching what the govt is doing when they come for you will there be anyone left to help  <<< they are watching

Some black’s ancestors are from the middle east and Jamaica and The Dominican Republic and Haiti and so on and so on. I think his point was that some people claim African heritage because they don’t really know where their ancestors came from. Also African slaves were sold into slavery by other Africans. So part of the source of African slavery is truly Africa. Why be proud of that??? You need to keep up with history. Why be proud of that? I can't believe you said that.
