I am a single parent not by choice (widow). If you were raised by a single parent then you would know something about it. Other than that I would read it just to see if you an any real insight into what it takes raising a child or children. We all have experiences and know a little something about most everything. I am sure you have friends that are single parents and have seen and/or heard them with their children. JMO

My mama's kitchen. Whatever she is cooking is wonderful. She missed her calling in life. She should have been Paula Dean!

Just ate green beans, mac. salad, and lasagna. School lunch, go figure. Strange combination but hey I didn't have to pay much and I didn't have to go out in the rain.

I can only speak for myself but I think about my two daughters, education of todays children, our economy, jobs and the jobless, teenage pregnancy on the rise, the lack of respect of young adults and preteen towards adults and the elderly, getting old, finding happiness, and being content with what I have but always striving to make my life better be that through education, love, or just being with my daughters.

Everyone wants/needs to hear they are appreciated for a job being done well. I know I want to hear the atta girl every once in a while for all the crap that I have to do and put up with at my job.

Congrats! I have never smoked but was married to one who tried several times to quit but was never successful. Kuddos to you!!!

I have not ran across a guy that I have been with that was a better dresser or took as much care about himself as I do. I go shopping with my boyfriend and help him decide what looks best. His parents and sister are amazed at how well he looks since he has been with me. He is very clean though and takes great care of his finger and toenails. He appeals to me and that is all that matters.

Happy Friday all of you wonderful people! I had my first night off iin 2 years during the week. I mowed my grass, watched a movie with my daughter, went secret pal shopping, ran errands, did laundry and went to bed by 10:30. I haven't been able to do that during the week in forever. I feel so rested this morning. I got a postcard from popcornncoke, however are you my secret pal or just wishing me well. Either way thank you. It is hanging on my fridge as I type.
